ADD'L INFO TO VERIFY AGAINST THE #1 TOPIC:

 

• Onboard charges may change until 30 days prior to departure.
• Additional charges include a $20 per person tourist card and $100 Galapagos National Park fee. These are subject to change until the time of travel and must be paid in cash in Ecuador.
• $35 recompression chamber support fee (Hyperbaric Fee) is not currently being charged BUT this may change at any time.
• Nitrox is currently $150 per person for the week. 

 

Guests will need to fly into Quito (UIO) or Guayaquil (GYE) in Ecuador at least one day before the trip. They can fly American through Miami, United through Houston, Delta through Atlanta or LAN Ecuador or COPA out of Miami. We can make hotel recommendations and reservations for your clients and organize any tours on mainland Ecuador or in the Galapagos Islands. We recommend flying to Ecuador two days before the trip date so guests can be sure to have all luggage for the flight to Galapagos. Currently, the flights to Galapagos go early morning on the day of embarkation from both Quito and Guayaquil. We can take care of the domestic flight booking to/from Galapagos. They are not included in the package price and currently range from $470-580 per person, although 2020+ prices may be a bit higher.  Booking domestic flights may be slightly cheaper online, but if you or your clients encounter problems, we won’t be able to help.  If the flights are booked through us, we have direct contacts in Ecuador who are better able to assist in the case of delays or other problems with the domestic flights.  Please note all guests must arrive in Baltra no later than 12noon on embarkation day to meet the group transfer at the airport. Flights depart from Baltra, Galapagos between 10am and 1pm on the day guests disembark the boat. Guests must allow a minimum of three hours between arrival time in Quito or Guayaquil and an international flight. For this reason, we recommend not booking a flight before 5pm out of Guayaquil or before 6pm out of Quito.

1. We flew into Quito before so that is why I said use this code for the discounts.
2. Also I have requested the tour options for arriving early so we can set this up.

Bug Bites are finally doing better.

 

I copied the new coupons into the TP#1. 

 

I also added the buttons to all the posts,   All the buttons work, EXCEPT the book now button.  No matter what I put in there (to include links/format of previous trips) I get a PHP error.  If I take the link and copy it to a browser it works fine, so I know the link is good, but the forums won't process it properly for some reason.

 

Butch can you take a look?   Does this have anything to do with the site moves?

Until Brad is back and gets a TC topic set up I'll just post TC functions here that I have done:

 

1. Sent out the PM stating that the trip is open for booking. (I had an old topic I had set up before and I just added the new people who wanted on the list to that PM and sent it out)

2. Topics locked and opened up and moved etc.. (Not really a TC function but one that Brad has to fix for me almost every time!)

I'm sorry to you BOTH. When I messed up the pricing AGAIN on the trip Butch split the difference on it and adjusted the total trip price up $100 and I am absorbing $100 vs the $207 I messed it up at.

 

Since the $200 coupon was due to expire tomorrow I just eliminated it. NO HIKA ACTION NEEDED

Since the other coupons were REALLY extended out I pulled in the higher value coupon dates - SO NO HIKA ACTION NEEDED.

The TP#1 topic (Trip topic #1) IS CORRECT but no hika action should be required. HOWEVER I OF COURSE NOW SEE MY OVERSIGHT IN MAKING THIS TYPE OF POST TO ERASE ANY CONFUSION AS TO WHAT HAPPENED.

GUARANTEED SPOT VS NOTIFY LIST:

 

We have a little confusion ...AGAIN MY FAULT because one is public and one is private.  The guaranteed is private and the notify is public. If you want the guaranteed spot you MUST be on both. ONLY the notify list will get the email telling you the trip is NOW OPEN FOR GENERAL BOOKING.

 

Those on the PRIVATE GUARANTEED LIST  *usually* get an email 1 week earlier that the trip is OPEN and they have 7 days to book. If they do great and if they do not then we open for general booking and they can book anytime but the spot is no longer being held for them.

 

When we ONLY have a few spots on the GSL guaranteed spot list like we did for Galapagos then I just pull those spots back from inventory and open the trip up since there is no need to lose a week for only 2 people.

 

POINT OF CONFUSION and OPPORTUNITY TO RESOLVE GOING FORWARD...

 

• There were 2 people of the GSL (Jose & Jenny) - posted in the #1 topic of the Build Out List
• Pam held 2 spots back... mine and hers as she books mine as a final test after opening the trip to test coupons etc.
• THEREFORE she held 2 spots back which were NOT for Jose and Jenny like I thought but rather for her and me.

 

HOW TO RESOLVE:

 

Easy resolution is to add these steps to the master list

AND... post when we've held the GSL spots back as well as when you've held back my spot and/or another team member's spot.
