Our wrecks range from 80-120 ft. The only nitrox mix avail is 30% which is more than acceptable for diving these depths. You'll be fine diving Nitrox along with the rest of us! In fact I was surprised that we dove the Duane in Fl which was 110-120 and they used 32%. :clapping:

Actually, 32% is fine for the Duane. Your MOD at 1.4 PP of O2 on 32% is 111 ft. There's no reason to go deeper than the main deck on the Duane, so your max depth will be about 105. If you are certified to penetrate wrecks and you know how to find the entrance, you might opt for a slightly leaner mix.
No single raindrop believes it is responsible for the flood.

Ok calling all newbies! PM me or email me at kamala@singledivers.com your relevant diving experience such as:

1. Total number of dives
2. Date of OW or Basic certification
3. Place of OW or Basic certification
4. Any other certifications
5. Comfort in water i.e. swimmer, lifegaurd, etc.
6. How long ago you were certified and when your last dive was.

I will work on getting a suitable DM for you if you are interested. There will be an extra fee but it could easily be worth your while to experinence NC under the guide of a qualified expert. -ww

Uh Kamala, remember when you said I'm not allowed to go on this trip? Do you think maybe, if I dive really, really good in Bonaire....?

Just kidding. :teeth: Don't want to stress you out. Dive N is going to give me my AOW in Athens that weekend. I guess I can wait till next year for NC. You will let me go next year won't you? Pretty Please?

Decisiions, hard for an old pirate. Yes, they are.

Let me just take a check there on those ears..........You gotta decide on that, mi' dear.
Kamala can advise and others, but a diver swab takes his own counsel.

Hey...Sea Cucumber from the PNW is joining us!! Too cool! That means only 3-4 more spots on this MUST DO TRIP!

Note: as much as I love NC...I may have to cut back on trips next year. If you've wanted to do NC...THIS IS THE YEAR to do it!

Yo, Kamala!

Where do we meet at RDU? I'm hitting dirt at 2:20 in Terminal C, plenty of time to make a pit-stop, grab the bags and find your parking spot.

So, is there any room left on this trip, I would most likely be driving down from Wash D.C. Anybody else from the DC area going?

Can I bring my own tanks? What's the Water temp I don't have to break out my Dry Suit do I?

Bjs
So, if my computer is flashing 212 .. 212 .. 212 does that mean I can't go any deeper?

I think there's still 2 or 3 slots open. C'mon along!

Here's a link to the satellite IR temp. The one from the 16th looks the most accurate. The sat doesn't distinguish between clouds and water, so thin clouds make it look cooler than it really is. Look right around the one titled:
NOAA-12 June 16, 2005 21:42 GMT 128kb

http://marine.rutger...&region=capehat

There's a couple of NOAA buoys out there, but the IR map gives a wider area.

If you need a drysuit for *that*, then you're even more alien than I am! I'm a genuine 'cold water wimp', so I'll be in a 5mil with a hood, most likely. At least I'm designed properly for Phoenix. I'm comfy in the 6 month summers we get.

I'd guess a few of the folks are gonna dive doubles, but you'll have to ask WW or Walter about BYOT.

Water temps are in the low 80's or should be by this trip! No drysuit needed for that! Well not by most people's standards! :)

Yes we still have a few spots left but they won't last long. I have other people coming from the DC area too!

Yes you can bring your own tanks...

I'll try to contact you in person as I have some VA folks wanting the last spots but I'd rather let our members have first dibs!
