I will have my 200s dive on this trip and hope you guys will celebrating this with me.

Oh yes...I think we can come up with something special for her 200th dive!!! Of course there will be a waiting line of people to dive with her on her 200th! And the line starts with ME!!!

Im booked on the 840 am flight as i have class the night before and i dont think i could get up at 3 am in the morning for a flight. Hopefully i wont be searched like crazy for having my camera equipment with me.

and then my return flight is the 7pm flight but depending i may try and get on the earlier depending on how early we get back to RDU.

also Kamala can you send me the info for the trip insurance.

Quick question for those that have been diving in NC before...I have a 3mm wetsuit, warm enough?

A 3mm should be fine as the water temp (from past dives) is around 75 to79 degrees. If your cold blodded bring a skin and that should help out; otherwise your stuck with a 5mm or dry suit.

Since I'm heading to Atlantic Beach on my own on Thursday night (hope to arrive before 11pm) Can you forward me the details I will need to check in! (Fisherman's Inn correct?) Also, I assume the fastest way from RDU is I-40 East to US 70 and straight down to Morehead City. Since you have done this drive several times is that the best route? Any additional information would be great.

Water will be in high 70's or low 80's so up to you if 3mm will keep you warm.

Yes that is the fasted route...however you can get on 70 off of 40 twice...so take the second option which is around exit 301/303 or so and not 297/298. It will save you lots of time by not going via 70 business which is what the first couple of 70 exits are out of the airport. (DO NOT TAKE 70 out of the airport...take 40E to avoid the business route and then get onto 70E around exit 301.)

Also when you drive East on 40 and then East on 70 the sign nomenclature is not the same so when you have the choice of taking:

70 or 70 Bypass - Take 70 Bypass
70 or 70 Business - Take 70

Near Goldsboro you'll need to watch for the 70 bypass exit and it will be a tight exit looping you around to the main hyway.

When you are a few miles from Morehead City then look for Hwy 58. Take it to the Right and you'll immediately go over the Atlantic Beach Causeway (big bridge over the ocean). At the bottom of the Causeway about 1 block before the traffic light you'll see the Fisherman's Inn on the left. The number is 252-726-2273 and the owners are Billy and Barbara Brewer.

You are looking at 162 miles so you have a 3 hr trip ahead of you. When you get to the hotel there will be a sign on the door telling you what room you are in. Is anyone carpooling with you?
