CARD-A-THON for MIKEY
Many of you have read the thread about Mikey, Skye's son, who was hit by a car recently and is in serious condition with head injuries. If not, follow this link to read more: Mikey
We've decided to have a SD CARD-A-THON to show our support. Our goal is to get 100 "get well soon" or "thinking of you" cards personally signed by our SD family members. SO COME ON SD'ers! Let's show Mikey and Skye the way we show our support our SD family in times of crisis!
Send your cards to me by Feb. 25th, and I will bundle them up and send them all together to Skye. Won't it be amazing when Mikey wakes up and sees all of those cards in his room? And I know Skye will feel the support as well.
I would prefer to send her your unopened cards, so please address them as follows:

I've met Skye a few times, but not Mikey. I believe he's a young adult or very close to it.

Hey gang...one thing that will help us is too tell others about the 'card-a-thon' that way we can get more cards to reach our goal of 100!
So my idea is that we each get one more person to send a card and we keep working until we get at least one. Then if each person does that...we'll have our 100 cards in no time!

This is a really inexpensive way to show our support ... and cards are available at the grocery and drug stores these days! Unless you live in Port O'Connor.

I'll try to stop by the PX on my way out today, but they really don't have a large selection. In fact they seem to only have love cards for husbands, wives and boy/girl friends. They really don't have regular cards, but I'll see what I can do. But please pass on to Skye me wishes for her sons speedy recovery and that they are in my prayers.

I will drive to town monday to get a few cards, one for me and both my kidos.This is a really inexpensive way to show our support ... and cards are available at the grocery and drug stores these days! Unless you live in Port O'Connor.
Yes there is no grocery stores here, only two mini marts in town.
A small price to pay to live right on the gulf, with boats everyhere to work on, NO traffic lights for thiry miles, and no traffic except holiday weekends, and one BIG fishing tourment, Which I leave town and go camping for the week. It's a short trip to the Gulf of mexico by boat, and lots of rigs to dive on.
