We had so much fun in January that we needed to do it again! Let’s do some “Hot Cozy Nights” July 22-29 for Dallas people or July 23-30! Nothing beats Cozumel Diving…and nothing’s better than Single and Buddyless divers doing it together! Come join us in beautiful Cozumel with crystal clear waters and more fun above water than anywhere under the sun! The water is cool...and the nights are HOT! Time to get “Hot in Cozy”!

Membership Rebates:

1. $25 rebate for premier, charter or professional members. Rebate form will be provided on the trip.

Deposit Information:

1. Payment in full by 4/5 receives an additional $25 off the trip price regardless of package.

2. To secure a spot on this limited availability trip either payment in full or a $200 deposit must be rec'd the spot you hope to have may be taken by another diver. Unless arrangements are made prior with me, missing a deposit deadline can cause your spot to be released to another customer.

3. Deposit Schedule:

a. $200 due at booking
b. 50% of trip total due April 20th
c. 50% of trip less $200 or Bal of trip due May 20th

Meals: Meals are included including alcohol. We will do most of our meals at the hotel however several nights we will have the option of eating in town at one of Cozy’s world renown restaurants.

Hotel Information: Casa del Mar Resort is an all-inclusive 2 star resort situated across the street from the beach, two miles from downtown San Miguel, and approximately 2.5 miles from Cozumel Airport. This location is also a few minutes by boat to all of the island's main reefs and right in front of excellent shore diving!

The property's amenities include the one swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tennis court, gym, gift shop, dive shop, and beach club with private pier. The property is home to a hacienda-style restaurant, and snack bar by the pool with exclusive swim up pool bar. Hotel services include room service, full-service dive center, car and scooter rental, medical services, money exchange, FREE Lobby Internet access, and valet laundry service. The all-inclusive plan covers all meals and snacks, unlimited domestic drinks, daily activities, non-motorized watersports (kayaks and snorkeling equipment), free scuba demos in the pool, bicycle tours, nightly entertainment, and all taxes and tips.

All rooms feature terraces, air-conditioning, cable TV, telephones, bathtubs and showers, and safety deposit box (free of charge).

1. You can obtain trip insurance for the Land package price or add in your airfare even if not obtaining the air via SD.com.
2. You can add an additional waiver for Supplier Default which means if the airline or the hotel or SD.com goes out of business before your trip that you are protected.
3. You can add an additional waiver for Pre-Existing Condition exclusion which means if you have an active pre-existing condition it will be waived should it flare up and cause you problems on your trip.
4. This insurance can be used for diving as well as non-diving vacations.

Usually www around me means...warm water wuss...however I like wise wreck wench!

Well Cozy is a perfect dive destination for new divers. Grenada will be very good too and you'll have some of the Houston gang with you on the trip. However I'd be happy to be your dive buddy so that would not be an issue for you for July!

Cozy will have a direct flight from Houston but the air runs different days however that can be factored in whereas air is getting tight for Grenada so you want to decide soon on Grenada or Cozy and get locked in!

I'm not sure if that helps...I've posted some pics of the hotel in the first 4 posts of this thread so check them out.

Also check out previous trips to Cozy in our photo galleries...its a great destination...but so will Grenada! -ww

I stayed at Casa Del Mar and dove with Del Mar Aquatics last November. Great trip! Here's a little insight if you're new to these operations:

The hotel is across the street from the dive shop / boat dock. There's a pedestrian bridge from the hotel property right to the shop. There are lockers available at the shop to store your gear so you don't have to haul it back and forth every day. Bring a padlock. The whole locker area is closed off and locked at night so I think it's pretty safe, but use your own judgement.

A great shore / night dive is right down the street. El Cid hotel is a short walk South from Casa Del Mar. About 50 yards off their dock is a sunken DC-3 airplane in about 25 FSW that is awesome at night. Tons of lobsters, the occasional octopus - way cool! Let the dive shop know in the morning and they'll drop off tanks at the dock at El Cid so you don't have to carry them down. Just walk down the street with your gear and right through the lobby of the hotel.

There's also a great photo store on the same property as El Cid - Island Photo. You can rent cameras there and get film developed. Holly and Armando are the best!

The hotel restaurant is pretty good, and the prices are relatively reasonable. For a change of pace try Ernestos Fajitas across the street from the hotel - also very good and with an ocean view!!

Warning! If you've never been to Cozumel before, you will be tempted on more than one occassion to quit your job, call home & tell your family to sell everything you own, and spend the rest of your life watching sunsets. If you chose not to resist this temptation please send me your forwarding address so I can come live with you!

Wish I was going with you, but I'm already committed elsewhere. Hope this little bit of info helps

HOLA' Just what I needed a trip to my favorite diving destination in the world. I am looking forward to the "HOT" nights in the land of drift diving. Never ceases to amaze me how fast the island changes each time I have been there. What is constant though is how the diving is alwys so easy and great, like riding a Disney attraction. Gee think it's too early to start packing?
