A friend of mine emailed this to me and I thought everybody at SD would enjoy it. Personally I have yet to experience it, but summer is coming.

Personally I have yet to experience it, but summer is coming.

Well, it takes a very special person to be with and place to do it. Bermuda should be a reasonable place, and the warmer the water for this type of experience, the better... (for obvious reasons). I found that the "ceiling" of a wreck in shallow, warm water provided the perfect place, utilizing buoyancy in the "overhead environment" to advantage. Your air consumption should increase dramatically if everything goes as planned... :usflag: , so be sure to plan accordingly. Nitrox was not in use back then, but I can see it might be advantageous to use it. I hope you have the "right person" and can find the right place... :welcome:

Let me just say, if I ever get married again, she'll have to be a diver... :usflag:

Interesting story, but I agree that it would be a waste of bottom time - that's what surface intervals are for! There was one quote in the story that bothered me thou . . .
"But to me, underwater sex is better on the surface, without the scuba kit."

I for one am not going to waste my bottom time for "bonking" at the bottom!!!

Besides some of us are to noisy anyway and we'd lose our reg at a really bad moment. I could see the headlines now, "Female diver drowns while in the Throes of Passion". :usflag: :usflag:

Save it for the nice soft bed back at the hotel..... Geez some of us like our comforts, and I don't relish the idea of being stung or bitten but something!!! :welcome:

Ok, my 2 psi.. Ditto, Ditto, Ditto..
This is an activity better suited NOT underwater in full dive gear.
And if I'm going to be bitten I would like to know his name first.. :usflag:
I remeber when I was going for my DM the total gear swap.. What a pain
I have had several dive guys tell me this is a big fantasy of theirs.
Thanks SD guys for letting me know that not all male divers think this is a great idea.

If you just can't wait use the surface interval.. and who wants to worry about keeping your reg in your mouth during those moments. :welcome:

Sex and diving... two of the three most important activities we SD'ers engage in (eating being the third of course). Mixing the first two, joining the "Five Fathom Club" sounds like heaven... until you actually try it!

I suspect that the stuff in the link was written tongue-in-cheek (or something like that). :usflag:

In any event, being in the Northeast, between the wetsuit and the cold water, I think it's kinda' out of the question.

My OBGYN says to not have intercourse underwater. 'They' are not for sure, but it's one of those 'early studies indicate' that water may be forced up into the tubes causing damage and possibly infertility.

Now in space, that sounds like fun!

Well that depends on the "dive " site(s)...(pardon the play on words) and which one was more memorable :twist: or if it was a wreck...which had better 'penetration' :wakawaka:
