I'll be there as well! It's only a couple hours from dallas, and I will definitely be camping, Who's going to brave the outdoors with me!? By outdoors, I mean with a tent, sleeping on the ground isn't quite as appealing. :lmao:

I'll be down there with my tent, so you won't be the only one.

Has anyone contacted the good folks at Windy Point and let them know what's headed their way?

What are the facilities like where the group will camp at Lake Travis? Showers? etc? dirt or grass campsites? I love camping and just may be available to go that weekend. :-)

They have showers (not hot, I believe), porta potties, picnic tables, trees, airfills on site, there is a store maybe 15 minutes away. This time of year there is more grass than dirt, I would say.

Hope you can join us!!!
There are old divers and there are bold divers, but there ain't no old, bold divers.

It's sounding better with every reply. I love to camp, so I'll be there with my tent. I'm a wino, so I'll want to hit the wineries on Sunday.
Put me on the Friday carpool list from Houston.

Just spoke with Richard down at Windy Point; he is really looking forward to having the SD crowd show up in August.

He is now perusing the site, so if/when he registers, he may be posting on the thread himself concerning any extras he needs/wants to do for our gathering.

Sounds like a blast of a weekend. I will certainly share a room with someone and if there are other Houstonians that would like to car pool, I have an SUV that could fit several people comfortably.

Have only one head with bill attached; PM me with fajita chip-in information as to where and when to send quatloos.

Do they have water and electric hook ups for RV's, and what is the cost for camping with a RV.
