Walter- Not suggesting SD has no one who posts seriously. Heck, even I've been known to do that on occasion. However there does seem to be a broader range of experience for questions about gear and travel to other regions of the globe on SB. I enjoy them both but have more fun here.

Hey we can do serious here too!!! We just can't do it for long!!!Glad you have appeared here... it is a much more amusing and interactive site than SB, although the focus tends to be non-successful reproduction. Still have to hit SB for the serious stuff, but this is loads of fun.

Hey girl you made it!!! I am soooooooooooooo glad!!! I told you we were having more fun then the law allowed!! So jump right in and make yourself at home. We don't have too many rules...and when people have too much fun and your intro thread gets carried away by other really fun topics...we try to split them off so you can find them again! Please forgive us in advance for hijacking your intro thread but you see we all post like we talk...free flowing!!!
So I know you are looking for some fun places to go diving for Memorial Day and I bet this group has tons of great trips for you to hook up on. I'll start a thread in the North America section to see where people are going to help you out!!! I know you are first on the waiting list for my trip to NC and I think there are a few folks going to dive in Florida over Memorial Day but I'm not sure where else people are diving yet. We'll soon see!
Check out the announcements for the official Single Divers .com stuff and feel free to make any suggestions you like. We are a fun group but we only stay that way when new people like YOU join us!!

And I'll make you this promise...when we are as big as SB...we'll STILL be having a good time....correction....make that a GREAT time!!! Well, I will second that and add something to it. Not only are we ALL here to have fun and do some great diving, but there are a lot of members on here that are VERY KNOWLEDABLE as well. We can be serious when the need arises, but we will NOT be DULL in doing so. Actually, I agree with Jen. Ive known a few women like that. You see a photo of a beautiful woman, then you meet the woman and you realize the photo wasn't very good. As beautiful as Jen looks in those photographs, she looks much better in person. There's something about her beauty the camera can't capture.
