I am not even certain how to start this, or even if I should. But the past two days I have found myself more and more overwhelmed..... and my SD family, I know, will understand.

My college b/f is currently fighting the war on terror. My last email from him was Monday. As of that email, he was still in Bagram. I heard about the helicopter crash two days ago and sent him an email. And another. I have not heard back.

I know about positive thoughts bringing positive action, and I am certainly trying.

Anyhow, since no names have been released, I am left here wondering. Praying. Hoping.

I am a firm believer that no good prayer is left unheard, and the more the merrier.
So if you could, in the vast number of prayers that have been asked for lately, please add him to your list. I would be greatly in your debt.

I would be greatly in your debt.

No payback needed, doll!

My thoughts are with you and your former beau, and positive energy is out there!

Done deal, Mishelle...

We have many blessings in life for which we can be thankful, and the men and women who serve and protect us certainly deserve to be counted among them.

I'll remember you and your friend in my prayers.

Indeed...I'll be sure to say a little something for you & your friend in my prayers tonight as well. What ever happens...just know that God is in control of it all...and as a fellow child of God...He will use this situation (good or bad) to help mold you into the person that He wants you to be...

Mishelle, there is no debt owed!!

I everyday before we go out I pray for the saftey and return of my Marines. The least I can do is say a prayer for your friend as well. Keep your hopes up and your head high.

Mishelle,
Being a former Marine and having served in the Gulf War, I can tell you it is hard for those who are left stateside. You can only sit and wait for the next bit of communication. Whether it be an email or letter, or the very breif phone call you may get. The Marine or Service Member while it is not easy has many things to occupy the mind. I never knew how hard it was to be on the waiting end of a deployment until Iraqui Freedom. When I have found my self waiting on few old friends to go and come back.
With that being said, I am glad that your friend is well and has sent you communication.

Please everyone let's remember those who make it possible for us to live a life in freedom,
Remember those who are currently deployed those who have served before us, those who support the deployed and those who continue to watch over us from above, as they have paid the ultimate price in freedom.

This being the 4th of July weekend it ever present :teeth:

the names of the 16 who died in the helo crash have been released.

however, there are still some missing out there.
OK, lets make a deal. If you stop telling me how to dive, I'll stop going down to the bus station at 2am to slap d***s out of your mouth.

Mishelle I am glad your friend is safe. We now have even more of our members...our families and our friends fighting for our freedoms and those of others who can't do it for themselves in this world.

I am proud of our country...our history and our tradition and most definitely our SERVICEMEN AND SERVICEWOMEN!

I am also proud of those soldiers who fight for the same ideals across the world whether from Canada, England or any of the other allied countries. :wakawaka:

God bless them all and may all our soldiers return home safely and quickly. -ww
