One of the biggest thrills that I have ever had is that last year I had all 3 of my sons certified together (Jr OW). I did this on the day that my youngest turned 10 through PADI as my other two were 12 and 14 at the time. I took the week off from work and studied with them during the day while they had class each night (it was a one week course that I had prearranged with the instructor). I'm proud to say that they each passed their tests on their first try! The instructor let me witness the class during their open water tests. Right before their class I took the PADI Rescue Diver course as I was so nervous to watch them all at once!
Since that time, we have made 4 trips to the Florida Keys as well as just finishing a 3 week trip all around FL. I still get goosebumps when we are all together diving. What is most impressive is how fast they have improved as they are each now coming into their own. I bought my oldest son an underwater digital camera for Christmas last year and he has turned into quite the shutterbug! He's posted some of his pics on scubaboard under the name beniam4. This year he turned 15 and for his birthday I have signed him up for AOW which starts next month.
So congratulations as diving can be a bond that unites the two of you more than one can imagine!
The sea is everything........Its breath is pure and healthy. It is an immense desert, where man is never lonely, for he feels life stirring on all sides. The sea is only the embodiment of a supernatural and wonderful existence. It is nothing but love and emotion; it is the 'Living Infinite,' ..........
