Wanted to publicly congradulate my 17 year old son Sam (my baby) for finishing up his OW training this last weekend. After a trip to the Blue Hole this weekend so I can check out his diving first hand we will be leaving for Cozumel Aug 7th through the 14th so I can take him on his first ocean dives! Another diver joins the ranks!

I am very proud but a little nervous. I already told him I was hooking him up to a buddy line.

Congrats.
My daughter (19) just got her OW cert and our first dive together was tough on me. I wanted to attatch a line to her and hold her hand just to make sure she was safe.
I am happy to report that I did neither and she dove just fine without my added support. We just got back from Puerto Rico and she dove like an experienced diver. Even the guys in charge told me that they never would have known she was a new diver if I hadn't told them.
