Our little Ms Volky has a VERY special offer for anyone wanting to drive from NOVA to keep Ms. Wreck Goddess company on her dives this weekend in MoreHead City with the rest of the SD gang including moi!

Well THAT was an interesting trip home 
I drove down to the East Falls Church Metro Stop because it's just off I-66 and the Greenway (Dulles Toll Road), which connects in to Rt. 7, which connects in to Rt. 9, which connects...well you get the idea.
I naturally rode the metro back to my truck, hopped in and pulled out a $20 to pay the parking fee. The attendant was happy to tell me the only way to get out of the parking lot was to go back in to the station and get a SmartPass.
So, exceptionally mello for some reason (and no I didn't drink), I wondered back in to the station with my two MasterCards, Visa, Discover card, and $40 in cash feeling pretty confident I could handle buying a SmartPass.
Much to my surprise, the machine only took $10 bills or less (and no CC's).
So now I have a problem as I'm in a basically residential area at 11 PM, and no wheels. Eventually I worked out a deal with another person in the lot to pay them the parking fee and use their SmartPass…and I’m outa there….
…until I got about halfway home on Rt. 9….which is doing night paving at the moment So even at midnight traffic was all backed up. However, I eventually made it home and am now ‘off-gassing’ the caffeine from the soda I bought to keep me awake for the drive home.
Official travel time: 3 hours 7 minutes. Which is actually not bad all things considered.
Fun, fun…and no I’m not a Tech Diver!!

Even though I left early I had a fantastic time and it was great to meet everybody in person and to run into my “old’ dive-roommate John again.
Well, Don is on his way from NY to pick me up. I cannot wait to get on the road to Morehead.
and get wet again.
Matt, that was the reason I left early. I was worried not to be able to leave the parking lot. The SmarTrip machines were down when I left Vienna and the Crystal City station does not have any of these machines.

Chris and I had a drink there after leaving CCSP - OMG! It was a *perfect* setting!!! The bar is right on the dock. The closest I could come to feeling like I was in FL ....

Chris and I had a drink there after leaving CCSP - OMG! It was a *perfect* setting!!! The bar is right on the dock. The closest I could come to feeling like I was in FL ....
looks neat, and very similar to the docks are in Old Town Alexandria, but the Cantina is probably more accessible to the group.
