Whoa... hold on.... A GF??   When did that happen?   Can't let that little piece of info. go by unnoticed!

I guess you're one of those people who believe all Gold Finches should be set free?

What's a gold finche? ;)

Sorry, was I supposed to let everyone know I got a bird? ;)

I agree with Katie.. How did he get a gf???

Ummm... you just go to the pet store and give them your money.

So, THAT explains all the proposal/wedding/honeymoon posts!

Now THAT is one of the funniest posts I've seen this YEAR Miss AliKat!!! :P When in doubt, please refer to gis_gal's post above... how could a guy like ME actually get a GF?

Sorry, my proposal/wedding/honeymoon thread was just a spin-off of the underwater one and I thought it would be cool to hear what others have done and/or wish they could do. After all, a vast majority of great ideas are spawned from something else we hear or read. Who knows, I may even write a song/poem about one of the events... I wrote a poem when I proposed to my wife way back when... of course that didn't pan out so well... hmmm, maybe I should have sung a song instead? :hiya:

Truer words were never said.....

Yeah, I know bud, I'm honest to a fault sometimes, huh? Pretty annoying isn't it? :fish:

Ok back to the original subject. I have to totally agree. I have been on 3 S.D. Trips and I have to agree that all of the ladies here have wonderful eyes... as well as other great attributes...

Michael..
I read your post.. I must learn to proof read my posts for errors before hitting the go button..

what I was trying to say was...How could you go and get a gf????
I am sure a man as charming as you has no trouble getting gals to go out with him. I hear that all the SD gals that meet you are instantly smitten...

Again I am sorry that I did not proof my post prior to the posting..

But I am still upset.. The gals of SD wanted to keep you for ourselves... and now it looks like we have to share you with some bird... Its just not right....

Is it just me or have you fellas noticed that like ALL of the girls on this website have absolutely gorgeous eyes?

Man,

That is no joke. There are some incredibly beautiful ladies. I can't wait to start diving again just to meet a few (or just one special one would do).

We'll see what shakes out. But I fully intend to enjoy the eyes here...

Aww gis_gal darlin' your so sweet... I was just teasin' with ya', I knew what you meant and once again your kind words are very sincerely appreciated. Besides, you don't ever have to worry about apologizin' to me ma'am, as long as people speak their heart, that's all I ever ask.

My life is pretty busy raisin' three kids right now, so dating isn't real convenient, but I'm almost at the tail end of the "high school" days for all of them, so I'm sure that will change soon enough. I think it's safe to assume that no one is smitten with anything other than my songs, which by the way is very flattering... but what can I say, I love writing syrupy love songs... and if the lovely SD ladies will continue to grace me with their attention as an audience, then I shall consider myself quite fortunate indeed. :wakawaka:

Yes, it all changes.. faster than you think it can.

Well, I simply must chime in and share my thoughts on this thread . . .

What's bothering me here is not the alleged *sincerity* nor the subsequent *cynicism* ... :thankyou:

... nor the various spellings of Washington state's bird: gold finche and goldfinch ... :cool1:

... but the *apparent* exclusion of those women NOT in possession of BLUE peepers!! :cool1:

Or maybe it's the beautiful blue ocean permanently glistening in their shimmering orbs?

So in order to make amends . . .

On behalf of my fellow brown-eyed SD sisters, I shall graciously accept one of Mitch's offerings -- :thankyou:

As well as one for my green-eyed SD sisters -- :respect:

Mitch, you are indeed a gentleman! :D

Neptuner, surely you must know that no words, thoughts, or assumptions are ever *safe* around here -- being cyberspace and all. :D

Annasea,

As a guy that LOVES brown eyes, let me say...

Hey, where did we go?
Days when the rains came
Down in a hollow
Playin' a new game
Laughin' and a runnin'
Skippin' and a jumpin'
In the misty mornin' fog
With our hearts a thumpin'
It was you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl

Now what ever happened
Tuesday is oh so slow
Goin' down the old mine
With a transistor radio

Standin' in a sunlit lane
Hidin' 'hind a rainbow's wall
Slippin' and a slidin'
All along the waterfall
It was you, my brown eyed girl
You, my brown eyed girl

Do you remember when
We used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da

So hard to find my way
Now that I'm on my own
Thought about it just the other day
My, where's the time all gone

Can't remember back then Lord
Sometimes I'm overcome thinkin' 'bout
Makin' love in the green grass
Behind the stadium
With you, my brown eyed girl
Do you remember when
We used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la ti da
