It is with great pride I congratulate dive_addict (Ryan) on passing his Instructor Development Course (IDC) this past week in Monterey Bay with ease! :) Then to top it all off, instead of waiting until the end of September to study further and attend the Instructor Exam (IE) in Vancouver, he left from the IDC on Friday and drove South 6 hours to PADI headquarters, took his IE over the weekend and is returning as one of PADI's newest Open Water Scuba Instructors!

:hiya: Ryan for being a fantastic Divemaster, a stellar Assistant Instructor candidate, and an outstanding IDC/IE candidate. It will be my pleasure to Divemaster for you for your first Open Water class.

OK, lets make a deal. If you stop telling me how to dive, I'll stop going down to the bus station at 2am to slap d***s out of your mouth.

Congratulations, Ryan. However there's another PADI specialty you should get know... the one on lawyers to deal with the liability of being an instructor (shudder). Of course NAUI and all the other agencies offer this, too.

Seriously, good work!
