1) So what does everyone here have for an u/w camera w/housing?
2) Would you buy that camera again if given the opportunity?
3) Anything in particular you like about your setup?
4) Anything you dislike in particular about your setup?
5) Anything I need to watch out for (such as make sure the internal flash works with the macro setting etc.)?
The market is flooded with digital options and I'm starting to feel quite overwhelmed.

This year I jumped into digital with an Olympus 5050 in a PT-015 housing, I've test dove the housing to check for leaks but have yet to dive with the camera, stay tuned.
By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.

I am using a Sealife DC310. I have had good luck with it, but I am still getting used to it as well. I had to have a fast upgrade after I lost my MX-10 last year or I might have spent more time camera shopping. Still no complaints here.

Very happy with the camera, it's making me be patient, control my buoyancy so I can take some half-decent shots if I do say so myself

My preferenced would be the Oly C-5050 in a PT015 housing with a Sea & Sea YS90 strobe... for strarters. should cost around $1100 or so.. and you can probably get by with a smaller stobe if crunched for $$
If you have the $$ you can upgrade the housing the Light & Motion Tetra (small and has the ROC which is helpful) or a second strobe etc... but the basic unit is important for many reason.
I won't go into the fact that going Digital is a slippery slope indeed. As you need to deal with batteries, storage, photo editing, computers blah-blah-blah...
Needless to say you don't want to outgrow the camera as might happen with other models in that price range. The Oly 5050 or the Nikon or even the Canon (not real familiar with Cannon) and end up using it as a fancy "Door Stop"...
There's a whole lot more, but I don't seem to get much response on my postings so I'll just let it go at that... I have photos in the gallery that are taken with the OLY C-4040 4mpix and I think you'll find they come out OK... compared to film..
Let me know if you have any question, no point in re-inventing the wheel..

GACHK!!!If you have the $$ you can upgrade the housing the Light & Motion Tetra (small and has the ROC which is helpful) or a second strobe etc... but the basic unit is important for many reason.
The price of the light & motion housings are astronomical!!

Either that or find a dive buddy that will shoot pictures for you or, better yet, entrust you with his/her precious equipment occasionally!Obviously DL you and I are going to find someone else (other than ourselves) to buy these toys for us!
