Has anyone one been out to the Solomon Islands, specifically Iron Bottom Sound? That is definetly on my list of to do dives, and I'd love to hear feedback from those who have "been there, done that".

Hey girl...usually the board is quiet over the weekends while people are out diving! And with some of our most world traveled divers off on dive trips...give it a bit to see who can help you out! I'm sure you'll have lots of replies next week!

P.S. for the record...I have not dove there yet! I'd love too! So if plenty of people are interested in it then maybe we can do a SD trip there!

That would be awesome. There are a ton of wrecks out there.

WW's not the only one that perks up at the sound of wrecks! :welcome:

I highly suspect that the SD trips I gravitate towards ( when this jobless, streamlined wallet period I'm currently experiancing passes ) will be the ones that use words like "islands" and "shipwrecks" in the same sentence. Are you listening WW?

I don't understand the fascination with wrecks. Personally, I want to see big animals. Different strokes.

The key to not getting bored with diving is to have many interests in diving and to mix up your activities so you aren't always doing the same thing. Even big animals get boring after a while if that's your only interest. Come dive the wrecks off NC and see all the sharks.

Big animals are often found in association with wrecks. To spur your imagination in the right direction, say "massive artificial reefs" instead of "wrecks".
