To any and all of you who may be sitting on the fence for this trip, Get your self off on the TRIP side! I did not hesitate about signing up. I knew it would be a wonderful trip as it always is with SD. But this one is going to be extra special. I was talking to Brad Nolan, Owner and Publisher of Dive Chronicles who has dove almost everywhere and still does. He says it is the nicest boat he has ever been on. And the Mantas will astound you! We saw a lot in Fiji, but not in clear water. Even though they were great, we really had to look for them and the visibilty was not that good. Brad says not so here, that it will be great.
Never been on and SD trip, there again, I had not either until Fiji. Some of my friends said to me,"Let me get this straight, you are going half-way around the world to a place you know nothing about, with a woman you don't know and 25 people you have never met." And I said Yep and I did and I had one of the best trips I have ever had. And that number in the last 28 years is probably 150+.
So as I always said to my dive club when I was President, "If you miss it, you WILL miss it! Is that what you want to be saying in December when we all come back. I Missed IT!!!

Nitrox and Steel Tank Update:
The pricing as you know has been confirmed for nitrox of $145 for the trip and steel tanks $32 for the trip. The question was asked if you could get Nitrox steel 100's and the answer is YES! The price is $177.

The water temps will be 79-80 degrees! It will be perfect!
Activities Update:
Fishing: Several of you have asked if you can fish? 99% of the trip will be in Marine Sanctuaries so the answer is no. In fact we'll be boarded at some point to check for fishing gear which if found will be confiscated.
Sea Kayaks: The boat offers Sea Kayaks for divers to use! They sound like fun!

I would like to have a NITROX Steel 100 reserved for me. After you get back from NC you can let me know how much I owe you after taking in account for Ft Lauderdale trip. If the boat in Ft Lauderdale billed you for both days then I will owe you the full $177. If not let me know how much I will owe you.
Also when you get back from NC let me know what is going on about upgrading my computer and purchasing a back up computer for the trip in Nov.
