It must somehow relate to the scene in Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" where the topless girls are chasing that guy off the cliff into the casket. I guess somewhere in my subconscious I believe they didn't quite finish the job?Trace, sounds like a great concept (especially the snorkels). Why do you want t-shirts with pictures of divers being ripped to shreds by naked girls?

So, you're not diving with any female buddies in the Orange County area, huh?Trace- Must admit that the ladies who frequent your fantasy dive shop would most likely not be ones I'd dive with. Come to think of it, I don't think I'd frequent it except for the used gear. However, it is a rather humorous concept!

Heh, heh... I see you know SoCal fairly well! Actually my #1 dive buddy (Andrea) lives in O.C. but she is not typical of the population there. She carries her own gear (including a 5,000 psi tank), hunts with the best of them and can handle slumming it with the likes of me when we travel! So, you're not diving with any female buddies in the Orange County area, huh?
I did have to "nix" a couple of potential female dive buddies from O.C. when I saw the bling they needed just to dive with! I was worried the sharks would be attracted by the brilliance (and I'm not referring to their minds).

Yeah, I had an Asian girlfriend who was a physician, high maintenance and had a beach house there in O.C. I gave her up for an impoverished F/A I met in SLC. I think I must have a thing for made up women in uniform since I spent most of my life looking at mostly naked and naked ones. I guess showing up well-dressed rather than naked & with beer will work for me. Obviously, I won't be shopping at my own dive center then! And, no, before the jokes begin from all the SDers, I'm not going in through the wahine entranceHeh, heh... I see you know SoCal fairly well!

PLEASE tell me that you will let us real gals shop on the guy's side.. PLLLEEEAAASSEE.For the ladies, they'll be greeted by handsome Australian models in tuxedos and escorted to choose various chocolate treats and be handed glasses of expensive wines to sample as they browse endless aisles of purple gear. The t-shirts will all be purple, pink or baby blue and will feature scenes of orcas, dolphins, divers in trim holding hands, and unicorns framed by sunsets, rainbows, reefs and flowers. Nothing will be naked except the Australian models for a fee. They can expect full service when it comes to trying on gear and there will also be stylists & nail techs to change hair styles & nail colors to match the gear they may choose. There will be plenty of accessories from which to choose so the ladies can make their gear look like Christmas trees and no matter how poorly their gear choices might be or how much drag they have, there will be several therapists on hand to assure them that, "Everything will be okay," and that their choices are genuine and valid and that they are still worthwhile human beings despite dangling equipment.
I think I would become ill on the gal side of the shop...
I like purple in moderation.. The top of my drysuit is dark purple..
but if I am forced to decorate myself in all purple, see one more dolphin I know I will go postal ( sorry mail carriers no disrespect intended).
I think you need to consider a third option ~ a shop for real divers who care more about how the gear performs as opposed to does it match my eyes.... :anna:

Hey, I want it all...gear that performs, is safe AND has a purple option. Can the third option still offer wine? It doesn't even have to be the expensive stuff! And I do prefer more of a shark motif than dolphins...although not necessarily ripping divers apart...sufers, maybeI think you need to consider a third option ~ a shop for real divers who care more about how the gear performs as opposed to does it match my eyes.... :anna:

I might just propose if we can agree on weapons for postal use.but if I am forced to decorate myself in all purple, see one more dolphin I know I will go postal ( sorry mail carriers no disrespect intended).

And, then, take you to Extreme Exposure in High Springs so you can see a real dive shop.

Well I do enjoy the feel and kick of many different weapons. Weapons must be chosen for each task carefully.I might just propose if we can agree on weapons for postal use.

I have a good friend who competatively shoots and he is always letting me test his new toys.. I have too many favorites.
I would love to see a real dive shop. I love gear.
I do hate it when I go into a shop and they try and show me the ladies items. I had one try and talk me out of getting my Ranger BC... pointed me to one cut for the ladies.
I am currently considering banding my HP steel 80's together and going tech. Just haven't done it yet... Now that will be fun.. more gear.. more stuff to get in the water with...

Well, nothing, on a personal level...really am thinking of trying it.WHAT??? What have you got against surfers???And I do prefer more of a shark motif than dolphins...although not necessarily ripping divers apart...surfers, maybe
But, face it, when it comes to sharks, they are "surface bait". We are much safer as divers!
