Here's a look at the folks you'll be joining in the Exhibit Area. Heck, someone could spend the weekend just visiting all the exhibitors.

Okay, never having been to BTS, can someone tell me what I might expect if I volunteer for either/or BTS and/or SD?

Am I looking at:
Assembling grand stands, booths?
Parking lot duty?
Chief cook and bottle washer?
Maning a booth for SD or BTS?
Demonstrating something I know nothing about?
Maning the kissing booth? ;-)
Giving a seminar on why you should check the side gate before letting the dogs out?

I know I am at the mercy of whatever the need is. Just wonder what that need is.

Thanks

Well I haven't found the kissing booth yet but I've heard it's over near the Dutch Springs area, oh never mind that's the SingleDivers booth :lmao:
Each exibit sets up their own booth so you will only do that if you are working with Kamala.
If you are volunteering for BTS then you will either be out front handing out the paperwork for ticket sales and the seminars.
Last year DRCKW and I were at the back door checking in exibitors and answering their questions.
There is also a crew at the hotels setting up the classrooms and helping the presenters with any handouts.

Dive Buddy, volunteering for BTS isn't all that bad, I remember last year myself and one other had to volunteer up front to give out badges to those already registered. I remember that Fingrabber had to help the first day putting up drawings on some partitions and others had to work at booths where they did the raffle drawings.. However, working at the SD booth was the most fun!

Very cool as it looks like a lot are volunteering to help out.. :cool1:

I still gotta check finances and see if there will be a work conflict (bet I need to have a job for that though). But it looks like I just might be in. I take it they need help the day before as well, correct?

Thanks

the way this worked last year is they do alot of set up on Friday starting at 8am...and the show doesn't start until 6pm Friday night...then runs Friday pm, Saturday until 6pm and Sunday until 4pm

I worked on Friday for BTS and was able to wear jeans...if your shift is during actual show times and you're working for BTS, the pants, shirt, tie, jacket are required

it really is a great show and everyone I worked with was wonderful!

one of the things I got to do last year was help decorate the ballroom for the silent auction...just to see the prizes they have for the auction! I wish I made ALOT more money, because they have some amazing trips on auction

Kim

ps...like you, I have to look at finances but I'd love to work this show again
