Welcome to amazingly quick transition from "first choice" to "last resort"! Don't take it personally, all parents deal with it.
In two years, he'll be heading to cancun on his own. Or wherever his spring breaking buddies want to zoom off to where there are libations, fast cars, and girls in wet t-shirts.
He'll love Ginnie Springs in the summer. You'll love it in the winter. Compromise and come now while it's still warm.

thanks for the pep talk. I do need it lately. I remember all the good times we spent together when he was little, going to shows, museums, concerts, zoos etc. and wonder what happened to my precious little boy.Welcome to amazingly quick transition from "first choice" to "last resort"! I might be down at Ginnie in Feb with my son. President's week. I think Norm is going to meet us there. I'd love to meet you there too. You can show me where the pretty fishies live.
