Hey now,

I know I'm not Kamala but I'd suggest either Travel Guard or DAN which now sells travel insurance.

Thanks, I usually get DAN insurance. Could not remember if it covers airfare etc. Will have to review. If it covers most of that stuff, it should be more than adequate.

Hi Divegirl,

I purchased the DAN trip insurance just before the Bonaire Trip. Although I was supporting DAN, I found that the company Kamala recommended shortly after I made my purchase, was less or less than half the cost of DAN trip insurance.

Hope this helps

I still STRONGLY recommend DAN insurance at the Master Plan if you can afford it ($99/yr) and TRIP insurance on top of that. Dan covers the expenses related to loss due to diving accidents aka diving, etc. Trip insurance covers EVERYTHING else such as interruptions and the extra expenses that you incur as a result, lost gear, missing a trip due to family deaths etc. (Having to work does NOT count as a reason that allows you to get your money back for cancelling a trip. A doctor's written excuse for not being able to travel will; etc.)

The insurance I found is very reasonable for the TRIP portion of your insurance. You can use it for any trips you are taking...not just SD trips! However you must buy it BY the last day payment is required for the trip. Since I set the last day for SD trips I have some play with that.

Let me know if I can answer anything else. DAN or equivelent insurance is required on all SD trips that involve diving. TRIP insurance is strongly recommended. -ww

Hey Kamala, can we get some info on the insurance costs from your connection for "trip" coverage? I already have the Dan preferred for other contigencies. I also just got a DAN quote for my dates 9/14-18.

Thanks
Rosa

Ok gang...we are getting into crunch time for the Roatan trip. I need to know if you are doing a single room...if you are going (to the best of your knowledge) and I'll need your payments asap!

I have to pay the resort by early next week...just shelled out lots of money in deposits today with the balance due by the 7th. PLEASE make payment arrangements with me as soon as you can if you have not done so already. I will be issuing travel docs and payment confirmations on the 8th for those who have paid.

Flight Details:

Continental is still $504 from Houston to RBT and that price is good til July 3rd. The system shows only 8 spots left!!! Please book your flights as soon as you can as we can NOT get a bulk rate on Continental since so few spots are left.

We are still working on a bulk rate on TACA but the published rate on TACA is also $504 and is good until July 6th. I SUGGEST YOU BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS DIRECTLY. YOU WILL BE PICKED UP AT THE AIRPORT REGARDLESS OF ARRIVAL TIME!!!

Please make your flight arrangements and email them to kamala@singledivers.com so I know you are squared away! Thanks, ww

Does it look like the list of people going is going to be bigger than the 11 on the intro page? Just curious. It's too good of a time to pass up! :teeth:

Inquiring minds want to know. Is there a pool table at the resort?
