the water temp is around the late 76-82.. I usually wear about a 5 mm.. VADiver swears by a 3mm.. but we all know he is a little weird anyway..

For me the 3mm with a hood is fine, but if it gets too cold I'll wear a skin underneath. I do have a 5mm but if it's cold enough for a 5mm then I'll go dry instead.

This is your official warning.... I'll be heading North this Memorial Day weekend to do some diving with you all--my payment's sent and I'm checking dive gear! It will be nice to meet some divers from a different area and I'm looking forward to having some great fun this weekend!

I'm going to be leaving Jacksonville, FL after work--about 6am, so I'll be there early in the afternoon. If anybody needs me to bring something or take care of anything before you get there, just let me know!

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I just got the trip paid for and will be arriving next Friday. I can't wait for some warm water diving. I just did my first warm water diving last month and now I want to spoil myself whenever I get the chance. Does anyone know if there are any penetration possibilites on these wrecks?

BTW, on the vote for nightime fun drinking on the Beach sounds good most nights. (actually that sounds good all the time) But, we are there a few nights so Medieveal Times or somthing like that would be fun one night too. See you guys there.

There aren't any penetration opportunities on these wrecks.. but you should definately check out the NC dives for penetration.. good stuff. However, there are a crazy amoun of artifacts on the civil war wrecks out of SC.

Most of the wrecks have a little relief...boilers here and there. The St Cathan and the Hebe may offer something, but it would be very limited. As for the BP-25...you can get inside some parts if you really try.

although, there are dozens of NYC subway cars in jumbled piles in the sand surrounding the BP-25.

Alright.. ladies and gents.. New Plan. Unfortunately the Dolphin Dive Charter is out of commission this weekend as it does not have a slip to launch from..

so.. we are going out with Coastal Scuba, it will be the same price. However, the dives vary slightly in days, times, and location -- so take note!

Day/Time/Dive
Saturday/Afternoon(1:00-7:00)/Sherman
Sunday/Afternoon(1:00-8:30)/Governor
Monday/Morning(6:00-4:30)/St. Kathan

For those people who I am still missing money for -- You must get your full payment into Kamala aka Wreckwench asap to retain your spot! I have a waiting list and will not hold a spot if you are not fully paid!

For those in need of a ride -- we will be departing from my house in Woodbridge at Noon on Friday. If you need to be picked up from the metro -- just let me know and I will have you picked up around 11:00/11:30.

If you need tanks or gear -- please notify me immediately with your requests 80's/100's and if you will be diving nitrox or if you need gear.
