Some words of encouragement…one of my friends went thru the HR last year. He's diving more now (and much more comfortably) than he has in years!!
Best wishes for you!

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

15years ago I broke the femur on my right hip. Since then it has been going downhill and even the excellent surgeon I had then told me I would need a replacement within 5 years. So I am 10 overdue according to him. I have been struggling with it for the past 4-5 anyway, not wanting to put my life on hold or miss any diving. And since joining SingleDivers.com a couple of years ago, it was even more important to me to keep going. I am sure many of you did not even know how much pain I was in every time I picked up a tank or made it to the back of the boat in full gear. But in Grenada, where I did two weeks, one with a group from Georgia and then the Singles week, the hip finally reared it's ugly little head. Upon returning home, we decided to do it in October so I would not miss the SingleDivers wedding of the century, the Philippines and White Sharks trip, but the great trip to North Carolina to dive the grave yard of the Atlantic just made me realize how bad it really was. It was only going to get worse and by the time September rolled around, I may not even be able to walk, much less carry a tank or gear. So, I will be in the hospital in Delray Beach this morning at 8:30 am to get a total replacement of my right hip. I do not know if the hospital has wifi or if they will allow me to take my laptop with me, but if so my friend will bring it to me and I can let you know how it goes. I have the best surgeon in South Florida who has over a 99% success rate, does surgery 4 times a week and averages 5 a day when he does. So I have the best surgeon I could find, the best friends one could have, the Wench's flax seed and JuicePlus, how can anything go wrong.
Thanks again for the kind words and think happy thoughts, I know I will!
Larry
