Once in a while, it is good to step back, take a breath, and remember to be humble. You'll never know it all - ScubaDadMiami. If you aren't afraid of dying, there is nothing you can't achieve - Lao-tzu. One dog barks at something, the rest bark at him - Chinese Proverb.

I'm searching for a new gear bag too, since the wheels on mine were not-so-lovingly handled by Continental on the Bonaire trip, and I just found this great informative article on gear bags, their construction, explanations of different zipper & material choices, etc. and thought I'd share it.

LDS what's $230 for the Dive Caddy and NO WHEELS. Looks like a lot of compression straps and such and still may not fit into the American Airlines Size Wise gauge ( a real joke by AA, definitaly undersized from overhead compartments in both 737 & 757 ).I am a Dive Caddy girl!

I know what you mean I beat a gate agent at there own game when i pulled out the tape measure and measured the rack and it was narrower(2" on each dimension) then the limits posted on the website. I did this after she wanted to force a gate check, while allowing bags much larger through that i pointed out and took pictures of said bags. Havent had a problem since atleast on flights using wide body (2 aisle) aircraft.
