Sund Rock is a better dive site for parking and there are actually many sites to dive at this location: North Wall (a diver I know swam with a six gill on this wall in about 25 fsw acouple months ago), South Wall (you can easily do more than one dive on this wall by diving differrent sections of the wall), East Wall (that's what we starting calling it) there's a very deep shelf starting at about 100' that bottoms at 120'-130' depending on tidal height - I do two of my Deep Diver course dives here , and there's a 30'+ scooner Wreck that sits in 35'-60.'

I am hoping to be able to join you all this weekend. I have to look at my class schedule. If I can't make the whole weekend, perhaps one of the days of diving!

Just spoke with the dive shop and the news is not good re the drysuit - seems they changed their design this year and still have not started to manufacture it! I am getting VERY frustrated on this. Needless to say, I won't be diving without a drysuit so it looks like I will be waiting for another get together to join you guys... :teeth:

That's stinky! Well, it will just give us another excuse for a PNW SDer get-together: Michelle's inaugural drysuit dive day! :cool2:

Yes, another PNW dive get together.. :cool2:
Michelle, do you need Nicolle and I to come up there and speak with the drysuit people with you? :)
We could help convince them that it would be best for everyone if they just made your #$%@*& drysuit.

My vote is two dives at Sund Rock.

Now Sund Rock, ROCKS.... heres some info an photos (see gallery)
http://poolesdive.co...s/sundrock.html

Typically we usually do a weekend at Sund Rock but whatever works is fine on this end..

Let me know what you need... I can, of course, take a pic or two.. heheh.. and show them ..... or NOT Show them (for slight nonminal fee) - joking here..

Sorry so late in getting to this thread... but here now...
I'll keep the whole weekend open and will announce it on some lists that I have...
Might keep in mind that it "Could be" a big turn out and 3-tree is limited as noted above...

I'm open, just let me know what you all need eh??? :welcome:

Oh, and CMT??? Drysuit, just get a Hi-Tide and be done with it...heheh.. (Joking) they're the best...

Only 3-Tree I'll even consider is north. Never dived 3-Tree south, but heard enough negative things about it that I don't want to bother. The only "south" part may be the boat that someone pointed out to us about 60-65fsw if you go south on north. Large octo hiding under the deep side, port I believe it was. Pictures would be nice. I can bring a topside camera, my underwater camera has been kaput for a while now.

Nah, not really worth the price of a motel room if I can drive out there and back in a day.

I was planning on bringing a top side camara. That way we could post a few pics.
Looks like this dive is coming along nicely... Divers, camaras, and lots of water..

Would love to join in but I will have to see if that drysuit is anywhere near completion... If it is, I will almost definitely be there!

Come down and join us for the mini-tour and dinner!

Clear sky? Sunshine? Blue water? Must have been July or August. The rest of it is consistent though, surface conditions like glass, no current.

And to go along with Frank's review, here's one of mine from when I dove it the "free" way 3 years ago....ahhh stupid youth...just pay the fee! :P

Sund Rock Dive Review

And more top side photos of the site are here: Seven Seas Scuba Photos. The photo on the left is looking toward North Wall - marked by a floating keg... :lmao: and the one on the right is looking toward South Wall, which basically starts at the rock jutting out. You can drop there and follow the rock ridge to your desired depth and continue South along the wall.

This is where I certify a number of my classes because of the versatility of the site, the sea life, and the depths. Group reservations should be made with the dive shop. Has anyone called Mike at Hoodsport n' Dive?
