Does anyone plan on using NITROX? Or will air be the gas of choice?

MNJoe

I do not plan on diving gas.. I have never gone there and do not know if I ever will.

Stupid drysuit!

Michelle,
I put out my offer again. Do you want Nicolle and I to come up and help convince the drysuit boys to get off their butts and just get the #@$%^*& drysuit make.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
I really hate to wait for stuff.. and don't mess with my dive gear :taz:
I bought a whites custom suit several years ago.. I thought I would be in for a long delay.. Custom suit out of Canada........ Quick response.. Had to do some minor adjustments once the suit came but happy with the experience..
Maybe we could do a sit in at the corp office... we could chant - drysuit, drysuit....
If nothing else it would make them nuts..... :teeth:

Okay, I just didn't want to show up with air if everyone else was using NITROX.

Both Billy, the shop owner, and I have ties to this type of art. We thought we'd do something different than an octopus that most shops or dive clubs in our area use. And all of us at the shop are shark nuts!

Glad you like it, we do!

It's my favorite type of art! There's something uniquely Northwest about native NW art. We tossed around the idea of hiring an artist to design a logo for our dive club to put on some clothing we were having made, but like a lot of committee type stuff, it never came to fruit and we tabled the idea.

I dive almost exclusively with EAN, but it's your choice.

Gills? Who's bringing the camera??

I am also working on rounding up some more Portland divers (dive_addict, my DM said he might be in as well)!

Air rocks !!!!!

Heheh... The more I see divers "Fiddl'n wid da gear/gages" I'm thinking more and more that AIR Rocks...

one tank, fill it, go diving..

no mix this and mix that, what percent is this or that, is that tank clean, what's my max depth yada-yada-yada...

Unless you're solo diving, you're still limited to you're dive buddy...

heheh.. I dunno, just fill the tank and throw me in...
I'll be back when low on AIR... :banghead:
(just joking here, not trying to get into an argument on the bene's of other gasses.. rebreathers etc.... :banghead:

You're talking about tech types with their trimix, stage bottles and deco gases. That's not for me either. Too much algebra involved for one. I do one mix, 32%, the mod is good for all my dives, don't have to fiddle with the computer settings. My bottom time is still the same, I run out of gas long before I worry about deco time. The advantage is the edge against dcs and less of the "post-dive fatigue", that's why it's sometimes referred to as the "old-farts" gas.

Well that does it. I can't use the stuff. I never want to be refered to as an old fart.

I agree! And I'm now a rep for the company so can have you fitted and in your new suit very quickly!

Ok ... so now that DOES sound like a sales pitch but I can't help it. I LOVE my suit and it really keeps me warm. I will dive it this weekend in 40 degree water and have no doubts I'll be warm...I was the last time and I didn't have proper thermals on. Now I have the proper thermals I'm sure I'll be toasty!

The company has approched me to help them since I've been sending so many people to them already! :lmao:

Look out PNW diving...I'll be there soon!!!

Hey has anyone posted about this little shindig on other sites you might visit? I'm sure you'll get some other takers to join in on the fun!!! -ww
