geesh... in black rubber suits, heck ya...
errr... nope...
too much for this old guy..

also, since I have your undivided attention,
You might talk with Randy Williams at:
http://www.starfishenterprise.com/

He owns the shop there, an avid diver, seller of Hi-tide.
He and "John" (can't remember his name) are close.
Randy might give you some help on doing Hi-Tide.

Just tell him I sent ya and you'll be banned from Seattle forever, joking, but feel free to drop my name if that would help...
He's a good guy...

Hope that helps...

Heheh.. g_g
I was just sitting down to ask, "What's up doc???"

I'll be there for both days.
3-Tree = 2 tanks (bringing 2, but concerned about parking, noise etc)
Sund Rock = 2 tanks (absolutely 2)

So need to knows:

What time at 3-tree
What scheduled AFTER dives - right after or go clean up and meet somewhere later?? if so what?? Pizza & Beer or restaurant??

What time at dive shop? = 8:30 or 9? or just meet at Sund Rock
(I'll be at the dive shop between 8:30-9 and then over to Sund Rock.

Hope this helps, geesh, and I'm not even an engineer...

I will be there Sat and Sun, planning two dives each day. Unless I am told different this is what I am planning on:

Updated 2-28-05

We will be doing two dives on Saturday, March 12. First dive will be at 3-Tree Point (north) in Burien, Wa. Second dive is optional. It will be either at 3-Tree or maybe Seacrest depending on popular request. Keep in mind there are NO facilities at 3-Tree.

We will meet at the Safeway parking lot in Burien, 138 SW 148th St, Burien, Wa, at noon, plan to be in the water at 1:30. After the dives are done, we will adjourn to get cleaned up and meet up again to go on a mini-tour of Seattle (including dinner somewhere) with Keith, aka MNjoe, who will be visiting us from the mid-west. Colleen aka gis_gal will be handling that part. More details TBA.

We'll need to double up on the vehicles because the parking at 3-Tree is very limited. If we get a larger than expected turnout, to the point where the site won't comfortably handle that many, (or rather the parking at the site, plenty of room in the water) or if the conditions don't look good, (not likely) backup plan will be to move it to Seacrest or Edmonds, farther north.

On Sunday March 13, we will take a trip to scenic Hood Canal to dive Sund Rock. We'll meet at the dive shop, Hood Sport N Dive, at 8:30am, and if necessary, double up on the vehicles. We'll be doing at least two dives. Bring some snacks to munch on between dives, then we'll have a real PNW-style pig-out, er, "dive debriefing" after we're done. There is a fee to access the site of $15 per person. More details TBA as the time approaches.

Please contact gis_gal or myself to let us know if you plan to attend any part of this event.

Frank, it's all in the first post on this thread, except for what Colleen has planned after the dive, haven't heard from her. I'm only handling the dive part.

Ok, there you are. I'm pretty easy to please, and since Keith is the guest of honor, is there something in particular he wants to do/see? Just get me someplace where they serve meat and beer. Sund Rock will be definitly a two-tanker, gotta get our money's worth. :teeth:

Easy on the titles, I won't know how to act. :teeth:

I don't have any particular sights to see in mind. I am not sure what Colleen came up with, I just hope she didn't put herself out.

Just get me someplace where they serve meat and beer.

That is definitely a must.

Just watch me, I don't know how either, :diver:

One idea that just came to mind is one of our favorite after-dive haunts, Pegasus Pizza in Alki. We could show you a couple of other dive sites while we're there too.

Just get me someplace where they serve meat and beer.

This would be good. If my girlfriend's daughter stays in Portland after she is done with school, I might be a regular visitor to the Pacific northwest.
