I think ALL forms of training are good and I think that DIR offers some great philosphies and skills to divers. Except for the 'all or nothing' part,.
Is that anything like Winonna Ryder proclaiming to be a "non-practicing virgin".....?
I'm about 95% DIR. I've taken fundies, and when it comes to technical diving - I follow about all of it - except I still use a computer (w tables & BT) vs tables & my buddies BT for backup.
When it comes to recreational - I find myself doing some solo, computer based plans and rarely creaping PO2's a tad beyond 1.4, never beyond 1.6 always well within CNS limits.
