Actually Cochran Computers has been involved in the growth of SingleDivers.com since its inception and has stepped up to become a major supporter of our site.

In our first year Cochran supplied us with very expensive and very sophisticated dive computers so that we could collect Diver Information for DAN, Divers Alert Network. That was in June 2004. We continued to collect data on a smaller scale for them throughtout 2004 and 2005. Then in 2006 Cochran stepped in again to up the stakes by not only offering top of the line NEW computers but also company wide support of the use of these computers as well as special incentives for our members who were interested in their computers.

We have been collecting data for DAN throughout most of 2006 and see that activity continuing for as long as DAN needs reseaarch and Cochran makes computers that collect that data for them.

Many of our divers who have used the computer have found it easy to use, easy to read and very accurate as its adaptive algorythm samples every second and incorporates water temp and salt vs fresh water into the algorythm adapting the information beyond anything in the marketplace to your actual diving. (Other manufacturers capture this information but do not use it to adapt your computer's algorythm thereby less accurately guaging your bottom time.) Plus you can get a single gas up to a 3 gas including CCR computer and never have an obsolete computer again. All upgrades can be added later and they are via software supplied by the company. Regardless of your diving skills or preferences, you'll never need another computer again once you join the Cochran family of dive computers.

No wonder why the US Navy, NATO and all the world's military have standardized on the Cochran Dive Computer. It is rugged, easy to use, adaptable, programmable to your own level of conservatism and has one hand TAC light operation! Military tough...but consumer friendly...that is what you'll find when you dive a Cochran.

I own and use a EMC-20H that I just got back from OTWBill and Cochran after having the final upgrade to 3 gas + Helium. I like the way it works and the easy to read large numbers ( that is getting more important every day) It is a great computer. I think it is great that they on board with the SD crowd. I look forward to the relationship.

I own an EMC-20H configured 2FO2.

I'll upgrade that configuration prior to the end of the year when I go over to the Dark Side after training with my latest gear purchase.
