But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Looks like the week of Feb. 19 is going to be a WWII submarine week for me...I'll be in Chicago that week and am planning to go to the U-505 exhibit. U-505 is the only U-boat we have on exhibit here in the US. All the info is here:

I will be back Thursday night so the 24th is still good for me.

All right. I'll go. I just hope I don't fall down the stairs like I almost did last time. Those things are tiny and I'm a klutz.Sounds like 7 so far for the 24th, if Fairybasslet goes. No one has expressed a preference for the 17th.

I vote for 2/24.
If Mike can make the 24th then its the 24th! Want to make sure that the organizer can make it! We'll update the thread with this info and now we can start planning all the fun! Sounds great!
Ok the main thread is partially updated! Need to know timing and a few other details. Confirm if you are for sure going and we'll add you to the list. As we know the possible numbers we'll decide if we are reserving the whole tour or just doing it adhoc.

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.

I have to call them and reserve the tour....and the only real thing that we need to know is how many people are going. If it's over 15, we'll definitely be split up into 2 groups, and they need to plan for that.
I will probably be there earlier, go through the museum (they have a deck of cards, each one shows one of the 52 US subs that was lost in WWII, and I'm going to get one!), and I will probably go through the sub earlier as well, just for the fun of it.
Also, as soon as we know about the number of people, I will reconfirm stuff with the diner.

The last tour has to start by 3:15pm. It should take about 45 mins, which means everyone should be at the diner by 5pm without a problem.

Put me down for the 3:15 tour.
