Called Rick this morning.
We are on the Sampan... She holds 14...

I might have 2 divers joining us...
That puts our total at 13....

Rick said with the goodies this group usually brings..
He will be forced to go off his diet.
I promised him we would work him hard enough to burn off a few calories.

Thank you Colleen that was nice of you and that is good news. Now we can put Kevin on the boat and up to 3 others if they wish to join us and pay accordingly. Please get them to register on the site if at all possible and post that they want to go. I know...its a pita but it sure helps us to keep this all organized. (I've asked DG to ask her dm's to do the same.)

As for payment at the boat...this is not our normal operation so to ensure a spot PLEASE paypal the money (+ 3% on $70) or get someone to vouch for your payment if you do not show up.

Thank you all for your understanding. Kamala

Kamala ~ You are welcome...I don't need much of a reason to call and talk with Rick.
I needed to know what boat we were on. The Sampan is my favorite.

DiveAK ~ I know Tony mentioned All in One as a good shop to contact.

Here are a few more.
TLSea ~ DesMoines (between the airport and Tacoma) 1-888-448-5732
Pax is usually the guy you get to deal with. He mixes a very nice Nitrox blend. They don't rent Steel tanks or argon bottles.
Pax would be happy to rent you a large alum tank filled with Nitrox.

Tacoma Scuba ~ Another great shop. They are located in Tacoma 253-238-1754
They do rent argon bottles. I spoke with them earlier about your needs.
The Steel tanks were a bit of an issue.

Underwater Sports has a shop in Tacoma but it is located in Lakewood (South Tacoma) 253-588-6634

Lighthouse Diving Shop in Tacoma 253-627-7617
I am not sure what they have to offer in tanks and blends...

(I've asked DG to ask her dm's to do the same.)

Will do, but since both aren't behind computers I don't know if I'll get this accomplished prior to Sunday. They are likely coming up with me, so I have a full car with 3 people, gear, and 6 tanks.

Thank you girl! I know they will most likely register at some point since its free, plus they'll have your influence and its relatively painless so no worries...and thank you!

And speaking of which...please everyone give Nicolle aka Dive_Girl a BIG hand of applause for all the work she's done to make this event a success!! Kudos my dear...you rock! :lmao:

I think the best bet for renting steel tanks would be 5th D in Issaquah. I haven't talked to Mark about the steels specifically but I did talk to him about renting an argon bottle. He is very easy to work with. I think All-n-One or Tacoma Scuba would be the best bet for nitrox fills if you already have the tanks. Just abut any shop can rent Al 80's.

Tony ~ I think you are correct.
I was just worried about sending out of towners all the way to Issaquah.
I was looking for options that were between the airport and hotels.
I know Tacoma Scuba will rent an argon bottle.
I couldn't find any information on all All-n-One. You will have to show me where they are located.

I know Kamala will be fine with an Alum 80. She really doesn't breath :D

Pax at TLSea does rent larger Alum tanks and does a pretty nice Nitrox fill.
I believe he told me he has Alum 100's.
TLSea is just off Hwy 99... a bit south of the airport. Easy enough to find.

What are the dinner plans for Friday??? I am available any time after 5 pm.
Would love to meet up with everyone for dinner.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER DIVE RELATED NEEDS???
I have a few lights I could loan out if needed... I also have some extra weight I could lend.
I have a smaller belt and 31 pounds of hard lead... (Daughter left hers behind)
I have an additional 12 pounds of soft weights I don't use.

My gosh, I feel loved! :welcome: Ok, I'll make an effort to be there. I may even risk going to jail and give CMT a hug too, hahahaha! (Inside joke from last year).

Jail or not...I want a hug too! :D

Thanks Colleen...you are the best! :thankyou:

I'll need lead...just can't for the life of me recall how much I used last year and can't find my logbook for that timeframe. :thankyou: (yes I log my dives for this very reason.)

So I dive a High Tide suit with 20# on alum 80 tank with no thermals. So guessing with thermals I'll need maybe 6# more? Or is that too off? Any ideas?

Also I'll ask kcdiving who is a new member joining us if she can hook us up with tanks...I think she works for a diveshop but not sure. -ww

Good point, Colleen. I'll have an extra light and some lead. I also have an extra Al 80. I'll bring all my extra stuff to the parking lot.

Kamala ~ I will bring the belt and the lead. Sounds about right to me.
We will consult with DG for an exact weighting.
I can't remember do you have weight pockets on your BP?

Like Tony I will bring my extra stuff along in case anyone needs anything.

I knew I should of gotten the "ugly stepsisters" (2 alum 80's) vis'd before this weekend.
I never dive them... so I often forget when they were last in for checks.
Sorry guys... too much work and too little play makes me get unorganized.

I will have an extra HP80 I won't be diving... I could lend out.
It is DIN and full or air.
