Kamala ~ I will bring the belt and the lead. Sounds about right to me.
We will consult with DG for an exact weighting.
I can't remember do you have weight pockets on your BP?

Like Tony I will bring my extra stuff along in case anyone needs anything.

I knew I should of gotten the "ugly stepsisters" (2 alum 80's) vis'd before this weekend.
I never dive them... so I often forget when they were last in for checks.
Sorry guys... too much work and too little play makes me get unorganized.

I will have an extra HP80 I won't be diving... I could lend out.
It is DIN and full or air.

Thanks GG...I asked a couple of diving wiz's and they say using the Wheesel undergarment that 6# should be right. So if I go with 6-8 extra then I should be set.

Ok kcdiving has tanks lined up for me so now I'm covered. :cool2:

Hey Colleen - any suggestions for dinner on Friday night?

I will discuss it tonight with Tony.
I am sure between the two of us we can come up with some place marvelous. :cool2:

Do we have a head count on how many will be available for dinner Friday?

It will be great to see you again.

Kamala ~ Glad to hear you are all set.
Sorry to learn DiveAK won't be joining us.

Tony ~ Start thinking about dinner Friday night.
That pizza place near the Swiss Pub is pretty good but it is small.
Do you have any other ideas?

We will be at Duke's Saturday night.

Since there will be fewer of us on Friday night I was hoping to do something a little more upscale than pizza. A nice Italian place would be a good idea though - always goes well with wine! :)

Hmmm...

Upscale is not quite my norm. My first thought would have been The Spar Tavern which is close to Les Davis but I don't know if I would call that "upscale". Good but not upscale.

There is a place called East West Cafe near S 56th and I-5. There is a place in Puyallup or Parkland called From The Bayou. Tacoma has the Spaghetti Factory which, coincidentally, is located near the Harmon Brewery (I have never been to the Spaghetti Factory). There is Salty's at Redondo, which I made the mistake of going into in my drysuit undies after a dive. It is upscale. The problem with that is that we would be watching other people's bubbles :) . There is the Lobster Shop on Ruston Way. I haven't eaten there but I have dove beneath it several times. There is some upscale Italian place on 30th (parallel to Ruston Way by The Spar).

With that, I am pretty well tapped out on upscale. I am flexible.

Don't worry.. It will all get worked out tonight.
Friday night dinner will be tasty with wine available for those that want some.

The Spagetti Factory might fit the bill..
Just have to make sure we can get Tony to go in and not walk past to The Harmon Brewery.

Tony ~ I have gone into Salty's for lunch after a dive. I don't think my "diver hair" and baseball cap was appreciated. :cool2:

Does anyone want to do other dives besides the two boat dives and the treasure hunt? I was thinking that we could do one on Friday before dinner or on Sunday at Les Davis after the boat dive.

Also, just a thought about upscale dinner. I don't know what everyone's finacial situation is but maybe someplace nice but not expensive might allow better participation.

Tony and I tossed around a few ideas tonight as to where to go for dinner Friday.

Here are a few places we thought would be good while still being affordable to anyone who wanted to come out but needs to watch their budget.

www.farrellispizza.com
yes a pizza place but its located in the lovely NEW town of Dupont just south of Tacoma...
Since they no longer manufacture explosives as the towns main money maker ~ it really is a nice place to visit.

www.osf.com
The Old Spaghetti Factory is another option.
The service tends to be a bit slow and on a Friday night the crowd is huge. Nothing fancy at this place...
Food is good ~ typically a long wait and they don't take reservations.

And then there is Tony's favorite - Sorry Tony had to go there. :cheerleader:
www.harmonbrewing.com
Looks like a nice place for burgers and beer.

I can keep looking if nothing listed so far works.

One other consideration is that it will be Friday night and, whatever the decision is, we should probably make reservations, especially with a large group.

Reservations...

What time will everyone be here and wanting to meet for dinner?
Do we know how many will be meeting for dinner?

I work till 5 pm and then expect to take at least an hour to get to Tacoma a bit longer if we dine in Dupont.

I heard from Randy that the HH hour was a great success, I'm sorry I had to miss it, especially since he told me there was a bachelorette party going on next door to you. Next year I'll just call in sick. :wakawaka:
