Sounds like a fun idea, I hope you do raise lots of money for a good cause. However, I am about 1000 miles away, so I would have to be on the remote-meat-market plan.

I must be a traditionalist. I do own a Tux... Rent one twice and it is worth buying...Heck, for a shot at a date with WW, I'd go out and buy a new tux if I can't drop the 50!!!

As far as the bachelorettes go, maybe it would be better to raffle off a date with the mermaids than an auction? What do you think, Moose? I think there is less potential for rowdiness with a raffle.
Can we put a list at the beginning of this thread of bachelors who are interested in volunteering?
Can someone start trying to figure out where we can hold this thing? We need some space to parade the slaves...uh...bachelors around. Anyone have any connections as far as that goes? Can we get it advertised on the BTS webpage or something?
I will see what I can do as far as refreshments and stuff. I'll also see if I can get some restaurants to donate dinners for the dates.
Definitely got some good ideas going here. OMS has offered to help with our Happy Hour again so we can certainly include them. If we arrange with the Embassy Suites to hold it there we'll get LOTS of extra onlookers from the show...can't hurt the bidding and donations for the mermaids. Access to people will be critical.

As the mermaids were quite a hit at the last BTS, then next year I suspect a few people will be doing something similar. Why not take a right hand turn and offer something else. Pirate wenches... Rent a wench (Hourly rates)... Seahorse riders... Something like this, but on a seahorse...can't hurt the bidding and donations for the mermaids. Access to people will be critical.
Originality will give you a huge boost and in the alternate costumes you can move without strapping lads like Moose having to haul them to the facilities... Yeah, sorry Dude, but I calls them likes I sees them...
