The answer to the indirect mention of Krispy Kremes is....k i wanna know what song has the krispy kreme reference!!!??? WE GIVE UP!!
Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd
If you listen closely to the end of the song, you hear Ronnie Van Zandt...lead singer before he died tragically....say, "My doughnuts, God d^%&"
The story I've heard is....when recording the album 'Second Helping', Ronnie Van Zandt would go to Krispy Kreme in the morning (this was before Krispy Kremes were anywhere but Southeast part of US) and get himself a dozen doughnuts. He wouldn't eat them, but would save them as a treat for the end of the day because he hated spending the whole day in the recording studio doing the same songs over and over and over. And he wouldn't share the doughnuts with anyone when the day was over.
So it was the end of the last day, and they were doing one last take of 'Sweet Home Alabama'. Toward the end of the song, the guys in the soundbooth decided to eat the Krispy Kremes...and apparently Ronnie looked up, saw what they were doing and said 'My doughnuts, God d%&$'. That was the take that they decided to release as a single and on the album.
So if you listen closely to the end of the song...you hear it!

George Washington was elected King but he refused the title !
Actually, he wasn't. There was some discussion of making the US a monarchy with Washington king. He discouraged that concept. It is also very unlikely that our founding fathers would have actually agreed to a monarchy.
This president was actually a King. He's still living.
