I'm very interested in this one. I do have a suggestion. For those of us who live in FL we could swing by the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale/Fort Myers airport and pick up people flying in on our way to Key West. I could handle 2 divers. This would save some money for everyone but it would have to be coodinated perfectly. The other suggestion is to have an extra day in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale to dive and play.
By the way, everyone that I have shown my Egypt trip pictures to say they would go in a heartbeat. I highly recommend you do Egypt again. I would recommend it to everyone. The trip was awesome!
Sorry I missed the wedding and I hope it was a wonderful day for you. Talk to you soon.

I'm probably going to be driving down too and will have room for another diver or two. I'll be stopping in Gainesville to visit my daughter and then again near Tampa to visit my son and his family.
BTW, if the Spree still isn't providing tanks and weights I can bring 4 AL80's, 3 are Nitrox cleaned.

By all that is wet, I do hereby swear, (politely), and attest, upon pain of never diving again, (real or imagined), that I understand and affirm, that I agree to the above.

Hey Ray,
Could you put me down for one of your tanks, the Nitrox cleaned one? Why not join us?

The boat provides an aluminum 80 for all divers. Air or 32%
nitrox is included in the charter price

...per the SPREE / Tortugas FAQ list:

nitrox is included in the charter price
Thanks, I'd asked that before but didn't get an answer.

I guess that means I won't need your tank, but thanx for offering.

Also - since I intend to be full swing into eccr by then, most of my steel bottles have been sold.... So, other than the one person I have already commited to, sorry.... A pal has 4x130's I may be able to bring, but I won't know or be able to commit until we get closer to the date....

Is the boat rebreather friendly?!? i.e. is O2 available? if not I could probably aquire sufficient additional bottles to last a week....

Tim they are rebreather friendly on specific Tech only trips to the FLower Gardens. One of their DMs dives with a rebreather.
Weather they will let you on the Tortugas trip is up to Captain Frank. I would just email the boat and ask Frank what he thinks.
Their website is spreeexpeditions.com
Hope this helps

I just looked at their website... they have a sport rebreather policy... nothing too difficult here.

Is this a technical charter trip or recreational dive trip?
Recreational, in the park/preserve only..., i.e. no deco and no spearing/lobstering...
But as a result, MCUHO better reefs, fishes, life in general... Truly spectacular....
They might drop on one wreck, the Windjammer, which is in the preserve in all of about 20' depending on the tides/surge...

So anything new up with this trip like info and when we can book wise?
This is the next trip to be posted. It will be available to the premier members first and then the general membership.
I've almost completed this post several times but due to several streaks of bad luck...it has disappeared on me.
Working on it now...
