I'm relatively new to this board and would like to pose a question..... WHY is it so hard to find single women who dive? I've been divorced for three years and dating for just over a year. Most of the women I meet dont dive at all. The ones that do tend to just do "resort" diving. I live in the Seattle/ Tacoma area. There is ZERO resort diving here!
Even the women that I've met that do the warm water thing get really ticked off when you tell them that atleast twice a week you're diving. I REALLY need to meet someone who loves to get wet as much as I do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if SD is any indicator, there are a lot of single women out there who dive! Heck, before George and I became a couple, I also used to say that about single men. :P If everything else is right, don't fret because a woman doesn't dive - after all, she can always learn!

Well, if I had known you weren't jail bait, I might have made a move sooner! :cheerleader:

Ron - Just go diving and don't fret so much about the women, that's what I've learned. I'd be happy with a lady who just likes to be shore support. I've found that there aren't that many single women who dive a lot in the Puget Sound, and of the ones that do, their "other lives" and dive schedules just don't mesh with mine. After all, given the choice, I just want to go diving.

I deffinately don't fret about women. They come and they go...... I'd just like the ones that I'm with to enjoy the same hobby that takes up most of my "non-working" time.

There are a few of us single gals around.
Some of us even enjoy diving in the cold waters of Puget Sound. :cheerleader:

I have run into this very thing when meeting single men.
They don't understand why I won't break a "dive date" to have dinner with them.
THEY have no interest in learning to dive and think I am weird for loving it.

I had one guy shocked when I refused a third date. :cheerleader:
I got to hear what a silly girl I was and what a great "catch" I was letting get away.

Or try being a female dive professional in this area! Guys always respond to the diving conversation, "oh yeah I'm a diver too." Then they find out I REALLY dive. :fish2:

It is just as hard to find single men who dive!!! Most of the male divers I know in the Birmingham area are married, but at least their wives are understanding about them diving with a single female! However, it would be nice to have a significant other who enjoys diving, but down here in the south it is too hard to compete with college football, especially this time of year!

DG ~ I hear you ! I think we need another dive/sleepover event.
We could discuss this over more midnight margaritas :cheerleader:

I could dive BC this time. Unless everyone wants to meet in the middle again.
