Hey Amigo, Im on the same flight 1045 INTO Charlotte, and then back out. Ill be happy to share a cab to the boat from there. Look for the dude on the plane wearing a single divers t shirt, scubadiving mag hat and a DAN backpack.

Sounds good. I won't be there until 12:15 though... Simon will be getting in earlier around 10am I think....

Keep an eye out for us... we'll come to the marina first to drop our gear. We'll be the thirsty looking Americans.

I would like to put in my request for the boat to stock plenty of Captain Morgan and Pineapple Juice. Tell them only to buy bottles big enough to have a handle on it.

A Few Last Minute Updates:

1. Don't forget cash if you wish to avoid credit card bills and/or for tips, taxi's and day of arrival refreshments, Friday's Dinner etc. (I'll also have a fair amount with me so if you forget the 'bank of kamala' should be open!

2. T-shirts....it is our custom (and a fun one at that) to provide a SingleDivers.com t-shirt on all our trips. We try to do it so we can do our group shot in the shirts...you can wear them at the airport on your NEXT diving adventure...especially helpful if meeting new members on another SD adventure and of course just cuz its fun to do. However we go thru a LOT of t-shirts and sometimes it is hard for my t-shirt guy to keep up with them all. He is trying to rush our most current order but may not be successful. If he is NOT then I will bring what I have in the few sizes I still have left and I will mail the others to you when we return from the trip. I'll keep you all posted on this ongoing saga!

3. The boat will feed you extremely well but if you need certain snacks such as chocolate or chips...pls bring them with you as you won't find them on the boat nor usually in town.

4. Remember to HYDRATE on the plane...skip the sodo and go for water. Then when you arrive in the Bahamas have water then a drink then water then a drink. PROPER HYDRATIONS BEGINS SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE THE TRIP.

5. If you are prone to sea sickness starting to take meds a day or so before gets them into your system and will help tremendously if we experience any weather. Thanks to Ariel we'll have a supply on the boat so if you forget...we'll have you covered!

VERY VERY IMPORTANT....

1. Don't forget your meds...they should be carried in your carry on.

2. Don't forget your MEDICAL EMERGENCY ENVELOPE with a copy of your passport, emergency contact info, and ANY meds you are taking as well as ANYTHING YOU WOULD TELL A DOCTOR IF YOU HAD A MEDICAL EMERGENCY. Remember you may not be able to speak for yourself so I will have to do it for you. Put this info in a sealed envelope along with your normal insurance info, your DAN or Dive Insurance info and which credit card that can be used for medical emergencies if you have to pay first and get reimbursed later. Put your REAL NAME and SCREEN NAME on the envelope and give this to me when we arrive on the boat. This could get you out of the country faster if you lose your passport like I did a month ago. This could save your life if you can not speak for yourself or it could ENSURE FASTER PROCESSING OF YOU INTO A MEDICAL FACILITY if you need it. Trust me...NONE OF THESE COUNTRIES HAVE TO PROVIDE CARE. No pay...no care!
