i'm signed up for roatan, wakatobi, and curacao and i sure hope there are enough cabana boys to go around on each of those!!

The way the cabana boy rule works on SD is as follows:

1. If a man signs up for a trip that has MORE WOMEN THAN MEN ON IT...he is automatically a cabana boy until the number of women is equal or less to the number of men.
2. If a man signs up for a trip that has equal numbers or more men and ENDS UP WITH MORE WOMEN THAN MEN...he has the choice to be converted to a 'cabana boy' if he thinks he can handle it or he can transfer to a trip that has more normal ratios of men to women on them.

If the trip has more men than women...well its a normal trip and the guys will be charming, fun, witty but they DO NOT NEED TO BE CABANA BOYS!!!

I don't know Kamala, from a Cabana boys perspective it would seem to me that if there were more men on the trip than women that you gals would want them ALL to be cabana boys

"Wants" and "Realities" are two different things. In the former case we DO expect that men be our 'cabana boys' and I have even allowed them to cancel the trip without penalty if they did not want or would not want or could not fulfil the position! Hey its only fair!

In the latter situation where you have more men than women on a trip the balance as we USUALLY know it is already in equilibrium and well nature takes over and those who want to 'pamper' the gals will; those who want to find 'local spice' will and those who want to just 'do their own thing' will.

And it ALL works out as it should!

So if you WANT to be a 'cabana boy' on a trip that has more men than women on it...I think you'd be pretty smart! However it is not required as it is in the former example of more women on a trip then men!
