i'm signed up for roatan, wakatobi, and curacao and i sure hope there are enough cabana boys to go around on each of those!!

I think the number one trait of a Cabana Boy is to,,,, know what you need before you do, and see that you get it, I mean, after all, your on vacation! Then theres a few secondary requirements, to see that you get back to your room safely after a night of dancing, when your a little wasted, lol due to "all the pressure" in your life, get tucked in, and stay warm enough, due to that thermal indeptedness of diving all week. Speak a little spanish, wear a speedo if she wants you too, have plenty of cash, be in good shape, know how to give a good massage, and be smart as a whip, across a Cheribs bare wet ass. I read this as being "smart WITH a whip".... rest of the Cabana Boy requirements would violate the SD TOS..

This thread is so funny. If we were talking about Cabana girls, the feminists would have a field day! I think all the boys on SD are showing amazing decorum and graciousness as we talk about them being in shape , in speedos ( ) with nice butts....

Ahhh, Kamala, is right on, again, I have been on many dive trips (over the last 28 years) all over the world, with a few different single female dive partners, when they were happy, it was like diving, dining, dancing, dreaming, the time away, in heaven, when they weren't, it was better to have stayed at work. But I still long for the trips, THANK YOU to,,,,, Sharie, Susie, Lisa, Barb and Lynn,,,,,,,,,,

The way the cabana boy rule works on SD is as follows:

1. If a man signs up for a trip that has MORE WOMEN THAN MEN ON IT...he is automatically a cabana boy until the number of women is equal or less to the number of men.
2. If a man signs up for a trip that has equal numbers or more men and ENDS UP WITH MORE WOMEN THAN MEN...he has the choice to be converted to a 'cabana boy' if he thinks he can handle it or he can transfer to a trip that has more normal ratios of men to women on them.

If the trip has more men than women...well its a normal trip and the guys will be charming, fun, witty but they DO NOT NEED TO BE CABANA BOYS!!!
