Hi Gang,
I'm so looking forward to seeing you at BTS!! I'm now "on the job". I just got back from 16 days in Florida.... alas, the only water I saw had soapsuds in it... I was helping my fella set up a house he just bought in Stuart, and the entire time we worked our little butts off... well, at least mine is little . Now that job is done, and I'm all Yours (assuming no scrubbing is required)!! Our BTS goal is the exact same as last year: Get Kamala her needed hours AND have fun at the same time. No problem.

Tooth... I've got hotel info to share. I'll catch up with you about it tomorrow. cheers, cat fish.

still looking for some help with this on travel reccomendations as i need to buy the ticket pretty soon as were getting to the 45 day mark. then what about hotels?

Ok just spoke with Dan. He can fly in Friday am or Thursday afternoon/pm since our group supplies a lot of help on Friday...a day typically difficult for regular BTS volunteers to help on. Here is the quandary...
1. If he flies in on Thursday he is available to help all day Friday and that will help whittle our hours down a lot. However he'll need a place to crash on Thursday night...so does anyone have a couch available that could swing him by the show on Friday am to drop him off. (I'm pretty sure he can get picked up at the airport if he flies with me on Thursday so that's not an issue.)

2. If he flies early on Friday he can arrive around 9am which is still very early and he won't need a place to stay on Thursday...but he will need a ride from the airport to the show as by then OTWDiver and myself will be deeply involved in booth set up and helping the show.

He is flexible either way so if anyone can lend a hand...that would be awesome and he can book his tickets.

Tooth -- I'm assuming you still need info about this? If so, I have some info. I'll PM you to review your details noted in WW's Jan 6 post above to make sure nothing has changed, then will post our discussion here... cat fish

WHO NEEDS A HOTEL ??
Sassi and I have reserved a few rooms in case anyone needs lodging during BTS. It gets more difficult, and more expensive, to find rooms near BTS as it gets closer to blast-off. So, we think we've got a strategy in place.

We want to start a discussion now to figure out who needs what. We don't want to hold onto the rooms too long if they won't be filled, and we know that many of you are from the NJ area and will be commuting from home. We know that ScubaTooth will be flying in, and will need lodging. How about everybody else... who needs what? Do you you need a room? If so: double/single?? cheap/real cheap?? Let us know, and we'll get on it! -cat fish

Catfish - im planning on doing my plane ticket this week and will post that info as soon as its bought as the first schedule change i need is done the one for the monday shift hasnt been settled yet so i may have to head back to dallas on sunday but i hope i can get it changed so i can return on monday. as for hotel that la quinta info you sent me looks good for the show.

me too please for BTS anyway. As for lodgeing what kind of rates have you all been getting? the sheriton had rooms for about 110.00 when I checked the other day.
