Hey Kamala,
I just noticed the change in dates. I may be able to make this trip now afterall. However, a lot of changes are going on with me right now. After 6 years, I am leaving China. I have been transferred to another international assignment, but it is rotational. So half my time I will be back in Texas and half my time I will be overseas in Africa. So I am currently trying to finish up here and then get moved and then start my new assignment. When it gets somewhat lined out, I will see if the dates will work on my rotation. I will let you know as soon as possible, as this is one of the trips I was wanting to take.
And speaking of trips I still want to take.... now that I am going to be in Africa every other month - any plans to do that Red Sea trip???

Hi Kamala,

With this new date, I think it can work into my schedule. I will check everything to make sure, but this looks really good :teeth:

If I go, I would like a s/o room.

I just got an OK from my manager, so I am going :teeth:

Kamala, your itineray list flight from LAX to NAN as 10:30 pm, but it showed on Air Pacific as Departure: 23:30. Maybe you did not figure the Daylight Saving change when you changed this from Feb to May. Please double check. The added hour will widen the choices for domestic flight into LAX.

Hi Kamala,

Is there a way I can link my domestic flight to the lax-nan flight? That will save me the time and trouble to transfer luggage by myself.

I have not bought the domestic ticket yet. It is about 300-360 Chicago <-> LAX roundtrip now.

John yes I think I can get you booked on a 'thru ticket' from Chicago. The advantage as you say is more ease in checking but the disadvantage is price. They are usually more expensive. If our carrier Air Pacific is partnered with any of the domestic flights you can usually get assistance at the airport at time of check in. But I can't recall who they may be partnered with. I will ask our consolidator if they can book you a thru ticket and how much it would be. Thank you! k

Is there another spot available for me???? I have been thinking about this trip since I met all of you at the Dive Show in Houston. I think we can fit into our budget if one of us goes :lmao: , which is the purpose of SD anyway, right? I can make it to LAX via Southwest Airlines rapid rewards coupon.
Thanks,
Margaret

I have not bought the domestic ticket yet. It is about 300-360 Chicago <-> LAX roundtrip now.

If you fly on American, for example, they have a baggage transfer agreement with Air Pacific. In Chicago, show the AA agent your onward ticket to Fiji and they will check your bags thru to the final destination
