Agree with Walter. If my memory serves me right, it was the head count procedure that caused the Australian problem. Apparently two divers went back in the water from the bow of the boat and then returned via the stern resulting in the right count (two counted twice).

All the dive boats I dive off of use a roll call or sign in procedure. They haven't left me behind once (even though one may have wanted to).

i saw that trailer in the theater with my niece. i started laughing out loud. she's heard enough of my dive stories to know what CRAP that was. even SHE laughed when she saw the "MAN-EATING KILLER GREEN MORAY" coming to the surface (??????) to attack the divers.
we plan on seeing it so we can rip the hell out of it!!!!

Head counts in the Key's have always been a bad idea, too many look alike dive boats parked on the reef and I have seen people board the wrong boat, the count would be right and still have divers in the water. :wakawaka:

Then again ... more room on the dive boats for us!

Jamie... you are killing me.. I didn't know you were so funny.

This movie coming out and then a couple of weekends ago, a diver got left behind "in the water" while his dive boat took off.... big news around my office. They thought this sport is crazy and what was I thinking! If they only knew! :twist:

I couldn't get the thing to load either. But, I have a plan.....
When the movie comes out in Dallas, all the local SD.com folks are going to meet for happy hour first (of course), then all go to the movie. We will all wear our dive masks and throw pink snorkels at the screen. (brings back memories of those Rocky Horror Picture Show groups). :teeth:

no...i haven't seen THE DEEP. i try to stay away from movies that scare me because i'm still slightly scared of the dark, especially when alone. scary movies exacerbate the problem. as long as we have at least one happy hour before the movie, then i'll be laughing too hard to let my imagination run rampant and be scared.
