no...i haven't seen THE DEEP. i try to stay away from movies that scare me because i'm still slightly scared of the dark, especially when alone. scary movies exacerbate the problem. as long as we have at least one happy hour before the movie, then i'll be laughing too hard to let my imagination run rampant and be scared.

If you need any comfort while you're in the dark, CSII, you just let me know....

thanks, CSI. you can hold my hand while we night snorkel - IN THE WATER - IN BONAIRE - <gutter minds, sheesh!>. i'll remember to pack my glasses. if we ever need to light a campfire quickly, we can use them to magnify the sun's rays. i had this nightmare along the lines of FALLEN where the demon travels through hosts by touch. i kept being poked in the shoulder and in my semi-conscious state and it was freaky. and no...no one was in the bed with me.

You might want to try getting the trailer straight from Apple's site:

http://www.apple.com...ate/open_water/

You will need Quicktime installed on your PC as well.

I must be missing something here. I watched the trailer -- saw fear, a few fins, a knife, dark skies, LOTS of angst, and an eel (If that was the man-eating eel, then I missed the man/woman-eating connection) cause the eel was clearly on the bottom, and those two were on the surface.

<snip>

Honestly, I really did not see anthing in this trailer that could be damaging to diving. Like I said, I must be missing something here.
