Thanks for the warm replies everyone. Things are ok on the front. Not sure if our suicide bomb incident made the news. Probably not. We lost two. Keep them in your prayers if you're the praying type. We've kicked it up a notch to try and keep them on their heels. It'll get a bit fiesty once the weather starts warming up. Always does.

Darlin', keep on truckin'. Do what you need to do. As Brad mentioned, like-minded people here at home have your six. PM me if you need anything (carepackages, letters, virtual hug, whatever.)

Television is a bit hard to come by and usually the last thing on my agenda. I spend my time here instead. I did, however, see some of the speech on the TV in the chow hall. I also saw a bunch of music artist. Just out of curiousity... WTF does U2 have to do with getting a new president? The whole thing was a bit commecialized and entirely too race focused for my taste. I could very easily go on one serious rant about the current political situtaion but... it wouldn't be worth it and its against the ruuuuules haha. So instead, I'll just *woo saaaa* and think about how sweet my new dive gear I'm about to buy is gonna be!!

No, I haven't gotten to see cobrajet yet. I keep meaning too but end up getting lazy or onto something else. I read somewhere that this ceremony cost 4 times more than any other. Why would you pay Millions of dollars for that? All I keep seeing is music artists singing, a 30 second clip of his speech and then stuff about how great it is to have a president who loves sports. I must be missing something...

I'll be home pretty soon hopefully. Theres still a possibility that we'll get extended for an additional 90 days but its looking good for us getting out of here soon. Hope to get some diving in as soon as possible!

Have you picked out your gear yet? Or should I say the supplier of your gear? We have some vendors that give SD member discounts AND active duty discounts. Basically they give it to our military at cost plus for all they do for us!
