Hi again Gang!
As always I am more than astounded at how well you all treat me... you really are "All Dah' Best"! Thank you so much for your efforts, it is truly appreciated from the bottom of my heart!!!!
You brought up a good point. Normally, downloads would probably count as plays too, but I have not allowed download of my songs simply because all of you have been kind enough to purchase the CD's, so it wouldn't be fair to simply give the songs away for free to anyone who happens across them on this site. It is basically set up so that the more plays you have on your songs, even if they are from the same people over and over again, the higher you get ranked on the system and the more radio stations start noticing you. I'm also going to give you a tool in a few days that will allow you to search for your local Country or Trop-Rock (ie: Buffett style) stations by your zip code and then you can actually request these songs from the radio stations. Again, the theory is that once people actually get a chance to hear them on the radio, then other people, divers and non-divers alike, will start wanting to hear them again and again as well. The bottom line is that many radio stations will play songs from independent artists, but it is driven strictly by demand.
And yes... you have a song about you... as does ScubaPunk. What can I say, you ALL inspire my songwriting to a great degree. If you listen closely to "Headin' to Belize" all I'm doing is telling the story exactly how it happened... almost verbatim, ask anyone on the trip! I'm just a storyteller and all my friends like you make VERY colorful characters!
Thanks again everyone, you are all absolutely awesome!
