Also note that it was extremely difficult to get to single divers site from the cafe. It kept going to web searches. A real disaster. Finally able to google diver_runner_artcollector and that got me to a site where I could access.

I had no issues getting access form Pelican Internet Cafe. In fact this whole thread was started there from machine #8.

Sounds like you had a great extra couple of days. I tell you what I've already ordered a pair of Blade fins for the next trip down there. Rafa is a damn fish and I needed something with more power than those split fins of mine to keep up with him.

You'll need an outboard motor to keep up with Rafa!!! I didn't think any human could do what I saw him do in water. I'm not crazy about my splits either and I think I will have something else next time. Tired of sitting still every time there is a current.

And you thought I was the only one that remembered and was making a big deal of Commando Clownfish while down there in Belize. Just cause WW had too much sqash to remember didn't mean the rest of us forgot!

For those wondering what sqash is you should of been there..........

I posted this in Lynn's Hood or Hooded Vest thread...but thought I'd post it here as well.

Water temps in Belize this past week ranged from 81 on one dive to as low as 78 on our regular dives. The Blue Hole was notably cooler at 72 degrees on my computer but the other dives on Half Moon Caye and Long Caye were 76 and 78 respectively.

The air temps were the problem as they were in the low 70's the first part of the week and did not fully warm up until the end of the week to the mid 80's. We also had a lot of wind so people lost body core and had a hard time regaining it...hence the topic at hand.

And yes the DM's and diving staff at Patojos wore only board shorts and rash guards while the diving staff at AquaDives who we dove with for the Blue Hole and Turneffe wore two overlapping 3mil shorties.

Today, my last full day in Belize, I did 2 dives; a "make up" for the final group dive we lost when the boat broke down and Pato gave me a "bonus" dive, too! This place is the best!

After I get back to Dallas and take care of my frozen water pipes (global warming, where are you?!), I'll sort through my videos and post some clips. Just go to YouTube.com and search on "down2biz" (without the quote marks). BTW, the weather yesterday and today has been perfect!

And because it was so sunny today's dives were bright and cheerful as well. Funny how you feel warmer underwater when sunlight is filtering down, even though I'm sure it makes not one jot of difference.

What an AWESOME week. My 1st ocean dive, 1st 60 minute+ dive, 1st 130ft dive and my 1st (of many hopefully) trip with Singledivers.com. Great group of people on the trip. Thank you all for making it wonderful. And a special thank you to Kamala. Oops, boarding plane in Houston. Gotta go.

WELCOME--I did my first ocean dive in the Keys, and you beats me, I went 93ft. on a wreck dive. Yes, Kamala is AWESOME!!
