Hey gang...things are set with Greg aka greg@iphill so I have a ride from the airport and back to it...a couch to sleep on and ride to the show each day! THAT IS HUGE!!! Thank you Greg!!!!


Now we just need more volunteers to help us!

It will be a small group again for dinner and socializing...didn't we pass something interesting near the convention center on the way to Morton's?

My only request is that its walking distance to the convention center if possible to avoid trying to move cars and then find parking again.

Wow did you guys go to Morton's last year for dinner? Now that's a pretty penny! There's tons of places to go near and around the convention center if I remember correctly...I'm just not sure about walking distances to and from.

[Edit] Nevermind. Just read that you guys DID go to Morton's. Yum and yikes on the wallet!

Yep...it was a real shocker. After the shock wore off it was pretty good but after almost paying for a short dive trip we decided that we all preferred diving over Mortans the next time we were going to spend that kind of money!


Fran if you can think of another place that would be great. I know we passed a bunch of stuff and truthfully if its only a few of us its not as big a deal to go someplace nearby and eat walking or driving. Just need a suggestion!

The first thing that comes to mind is Giordano’s - really good deep dish Chicago style pizza. The only thing is that it is way better to drive than walk (maybe a mile?) and there may be a long wait (we waited 30 minutes when the Comic Convention was in town - it'll depend on the turnout at the convention really). It's definitely a casual environment too.

That sounds good to me! The wait would be the only drawback but sounds like it is worth it!

Yes the HH will be Saturday after closing! And I know that a pizza joint serves cold beer!

Or you can check out this link http://www.rosemont.com/dining.php to see the many, many restaurants to choose from. If Giordano's doesn't have alcohol/beer, I don't want to be the reason for that!

Not all Giordano's serves alcohol. Happily, this one does have a full bar
Not only that, they also takes reservation, according to this yelp review:

Count me in for helping and HH. I'll get in Sat. morn and can help out as needed on Saturday and Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Chicago dive show stacks up against ours.
