Count me in for helping and HH. I'll get in Sat. morn and can help out as needed on Saturday and Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Chicago dive show stacks up against ours.

Welcome to Windy (& Snowy) City, Lynn. :welcome:

I don't know how Chicago's Dive show stack up with anywhere else's, because I have not been to another show. With about 200+ booths taken, it has enough coverage. One thing to keep in mind for travel planning, the Chicago Auto Show is well know, and it is 2/11-2/20, so for anyone traveling this far it is worth checking out.

We are looking forward to meeting you here at the OWU and at the HH. :cool1:

I should be right at home in Chi-town elements. Is the auto show at the same convention center?

Is the auto show at the same convention center?

No, the Auto Show is at McCormick Place, south of downtown Chicago at the lake side, while the dive show is at the Convention Center in Rosemont, next to O'Hare Airport. However, it is not hard to get to the autoshow from the Convention Center: take the Blue Line subway to Jackson Street, then take a taxi ride to the Auto Show. You do need about 5-6 hours of spare time for the round trip and the tour.

Google these subjects: (1) Chicago Auto Show, (2) CTA Blue Line (then look at Rosemont and Jackson stops), (3) map of downtown Chicago, especially along the Lake to McCormick Place.

Hi Kamala,

Do you have a pass for me to help on Sunday?

Another thing: I called Giordano and they confirmed to serve drinks, but reservation requires 10+ people.

Does anyone know how long the breaks are between back to back seminars? I'm trying to figure out when I can help out at the booth on Saturday. Looking forward to it!

John we'll probably NOT have 10+ people so will have to wing it I guess. I'm up for pizza regardless so I'm sure with you, me, Greg, Lynn, and our newest member Fran it won't be too hard to get in someplace.

Seminars can run back to back so it depends on the ones you want to participate in. The schedule is here:

Yes I will have tickets to get people in. You will have to call me or plan to meet us when we arrive (Greg and I since I'm staying with him and he is graciously getting me to the show and back each day).

We have 4 badges and they are generic STAFF badges so can get anyone into the show we need. I just need to know when you are arriving so we can coordinate your getting in.

My celfone is 864-557-6079. I'll have the ringer turned up loud but if I know approx when you plan to arrive that helps tremendously so I or another person can get you in the door. They will come out, find you, give you the booth badge and then walk you in to our booth. We can repeat this process as many times as we need too!

I plan to arrive at the open 9 am on Sunday and stay until the close at 4 pm.

As for Saturday's Happy Hour, since the exhibition close at 6 pm, and it is about 1 mile from the convention center, can we meet at the Giordano's around 6:45 pm?

Once again here is some review.
http://www.yelp.com/...aurant-rosemont

To find the location, just google "rosemont giordanos".

See you all Saturday :hiya:

Hotel? Yes - I'm staying very close to the convention center. I'll need time to check in after the show winds down unless I get a chance to check in earlier. Don't wait on me to start HH, I can catch up.
