I'm seriously looking at leaving the state Friday after work. Ivan is currently a category 5 storm slightly stronger than Andrew. Current predictions are for it to hit or come very close to Fort Myers.

Gilboa anyone?

See the 3 islands right above Honduras on that map? The long one in the middle is Roatan. There'll be some swells and ocean bouncing when you arrive, still.

Hope Ivan doesn't veer off closer. Could be a bumpy plane ride Saturda.

Hey walter, your always welcome in ms.

Now, there's a nice, high-elevation state.

I've seen people do that - run to another state, only to be followed by the storm. :taz:

I'm told the seas rarely get very rough at Gilboa.

Well, hate to tell you, Sylvia but I'm on that team that they are supposed to fly out to Atlanta Friday & Saturday. Hopefully, it will happen this time.....
