Nancy,Sylvia - you like the critters in Monterey and this coming weekend is suppose to be a good in Monterey. And we don't get hurricanes either, just the occassional earthquake, but there's no warning so you don't have to worry about them. Best of luck to all in Florida.
I really love that city, lots of good memories. One of the Executives for the company I work for is there and well, let's say it is very tempting and maybe I need a change soon.

SuperDave & Becky,There's always my house on Oahu. Kinda far, though, huh?

You are both Soooooooooooo kind to offer room and board to storm worn SD Floridians. Don't worry Becky Hawaii sounds great about now.
Maybe we should just exchange keys.
In any case SD members are like a family, each of you are very special individuals, indeed, I'm touched.

Walter is correct. However I would add that after a storm like your getting, you may want to go diveing for artifacts. The sand and rubble gets mixed around and often you can find some very old stuff. Over here we found a airplane engine and some sling stones after the last storm.
Jim
BTW SuperDave where do you have a house in Idaho?

Yep, Ivan looks like it'll veer west a bit of projections from earlier today. Now, there's a nice, high-elevation state.Hey walter, your always welcome in ms.
I've seen people do that - run to another state, only to be followed by the storm.
South end of Mississippi is now in the 5 day possibility.
WYOMING looks safer.

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

Marvel I pray you'll be safe as I'm sure MANY others are doing as well. Having seen your lovely home...and sideyard...the thoughts and stress you are going thru right now are probably unbearable...But I just know you'll be ok...AGAIN! -kamalaWell, I was just advised that I am part of a much smaller group being flown to Alpharetta, GA to set up a temporary help desk in case Ivan hits. I'm going to fly out tomorrow. Now, just got to get the last minute stuff done- take care of my cat, board up my house- thank goodness I don't have as much to do this week- I left a lot of things packed & stored, as did most of us in Florida. I hope & pray that everyone remains safe & that I am flying out for nothing...
